Your cost of 7k seems unfair even with expired warranty. Was it reported on a forum that out of warranty repair for this issue was going to be capped at a 1000?
yea I read that too and was hopefully, but for my case, the pcs was discounted to 970, every thing else that the pcs took out with it or is what took out the PCS, no discount. I doubt they replaced things for the sake of replacing them.

They should give you an additional discount (adjustment). Those labor times are from an intact truck and include the time to get to the part.
Book times:
Ancillary Cover removal: 3.18
PCS: 4.2
ADCA: 3.84 - 3.18 = 0.66
ACJB: 3.42 - 3.18 = 0.26
ALVH: 3.48 - 3.18 = 0.30
Plus 1 hour diagnostics

So 6.4 hours (-9.54) max versus 15.94
Unless they replaced one part at a time without testing 😬

Based on total and $210/hour labor rate, they charged 11.74 hours which looks like they dropped the PCS labor time of 4.2 hours, but that still leaves 5.34 hours or $1,121.40 of potential redundancy.

Update, even better result than I expected:

Update:

Tesla Setvice manager called me this morning and told me they had meetings and discovered an issue with there billing system regarding the PCS repair. They will be making changes to that system so that the overlap in labor is correctly calculated when doing multiple parts relating to the PCS. In my case they will be refunding me 5200 of my 6k ish repair. That’s exciting and a very noble thing to do by Tesla.
