Good day Forum,
I am wondering if any of you know a direct contact to the regional/general manager for Maryland/Eastern Shore region, I think his name is Anthony Brown.
I have called the number he left on a voicemail but it gets me to some random service advisor with which I leave a message and I have yet to receive a call back or email.

I have a growing list of issues with my truck which are for the most part caused from haphazardly completed service work most recently I took my truck due to a front diff service warning and it appears they left something loose as the truck is now leaking oil after they replaced the pump, already scheduled a visit which is 12 days out.
This will be the 4th time in a row that I take the truck for service and have to go back for them to repair their repair and the truck is probably on its 12th service if not more in 8k miles, more than half are rework.

The advisor team is at the service center I frequent are a good group of folks but the techs (except for one) leave a lot to be desired, I've had issues where they leave parts loose, seals installed backwards or not properly re-installed at all; the oil leak is the straw that broke the camels back.

I feel for you.

We are currently experiencing an auto technician shortage nationwide. The experienced techs who know how to troubleshoot have retired, switched to another profession (due to frustration over pay and working conditions) or have hung up their own shingle.

All of the younger folks want to sit behind a laptop screen. Most don’t want to get greasy, skin their knuckles, be on their feet all day or do manual labor.

I had a rocker panel installed backwards on an S in my garage. They came back with a new one. It was white. My S was MSM. 3rd time was a charm.

Tesla isn't perfect. No one is. I would say give them another shot. Yet ask for a coffee with the manager prior to service for a 10 minute conversation. Explain the plight, and say something like. I just feel I need to bring this to your attention as I know the reputation of your service center is important to you. After that I would look at Lemon Law if it keeps heading in that direction.

Good luck.

Nobody wants any of that.

Make it pay well enough, and they’ll show up.

I understand that but I think we have reached an unreasonable point, I have given them beyond reasonable chances and honestly I think talking to someone above the service center may be beneficial to Tesla simply because if I am being given a level of BS people that are not engineers or mechanically inclined are probably eating and driving around unhappy as they are being told that these issues are "normal".

Now I am not planning on lemon law-ing my truck, I just want it fixed and done right.

Just to give you a recurring example of what I am experiencing...I took the truck in for a hood latch issue, the tech hacked the opening in the plastic (no big deal, I smoothed the edges and blended the over-cut on the corners with a small file) for whatever reason the tech also adjusted the hood itself which left it 3/8" higher than the fenders and was told that was "within spec"...about a week later the hood appeared to have settled and the passenger side looked fine, the drivers side was high enough that the windshield edge seal was not sealing, I took it in and was told that was normal....the seal not sealing was "normal"....took it upon myself to fix it and also figured out they had not installed the apron properly causing the seal to sag...so I on my own got that sorted out....along with the hood alingment....now....every time I take it for service and they have to disconnect the battery they remove the apron and shove the seal under glass leaving a gap...I brought it up twice and even showed them how to install it properly per their own work instructions I still end up fixing it myself every time.

Next, I had the drivers door making a groaning sound when opening, seamed to be related to humidity as it would come for a few days and go away, timing worked so that I had to pay the $175 for them to troubleshoot and not get it fixed until finally out of shear coincidence I was in for both rear door windows not sealing with both air and water intrusion, excessive vibration and rattle from DF and PR doors and they ended up replacing the DF door, PR door and adjusting the DR glass.....this is when I started to get annoyed....the drivers door interior panel popped off on my first stop after the service, the DS window had wind intrusion noise above 40 mph....Tesla replaced the door panel and told me "wind noise is normal" and "wait until spring and it should quiet down". After I left the service center once again I took it upon myself to figure out what was causing the issue that was not there before they touched it and since the glass appeared to be fitted well...turns out the weather-strip above the glass was not properly sitting in the channel causing the glass to be pushed out when fully closed.

The "normal" wind noise and "wait until spring" is what is driving me up the wall right now that I am sitting with the truck leaking oil in my garage. Not to mention the fact that I have lost confidence on the quality of the service the truck gets which will translate to issues down the road which then turns into a big deal once I am out of warranty.

I've owned the entire line-up and this is the first Tesla that has these types of inexperience or what looks to me like "DGAF" issues.

You sound like you're well within lemon territory. I'm going through a repurchase with Tesla right now. It sounds like you should strongly consider that route if you don't want to continue living with quality issues. 12 service visits in 8k miles is nuts. I threw in the towel after 5 visits + a 6th scheduled and got mine lemoned. It doesn't sound like any of your issues are getting better or actually being fixed.

If service has persisted this long at this location I am sure the management is the problem. I like your idea of contacting regional.

At this point I’d commute to another SC, though you might be limited. I’m sure you’ve already thought of that. I’ve been lucky I guess, had some experiences where the techs did more than was asked. GL.

The next closest in PA has some horror stories from the Model Y folks, I felt lucky with my Service Center for the past 4 years with my Model Y Performance until last September, when this sloppy repairs trend started.
Annoyingly, it only gets worse, I got service on the wife’s model X yesterday for a tailgate making noise from contact between the lights and shortly after I got home I realized that their tech slathered grease on the entire side of the light…investigating further, the lights are still touching. I contacted whom I think may be the GM and she appears to be content with that repair.
Then I got under my truck to try and figure out if I have an active leak or just residue oil from a sloppy job (it made a small puddle the first day, I am not getting low fluid or service alerts but I do have a new whirling sound above 40 sustained speed) and also found a missing/stripped bolt on the skid plate.

I am not asking for anything extra, I just want this fixed.
