Good intel. Thanks for the share. Lining up the dates it certainly does look like the Tesla Van will be unveiled soon. It would make sense and be more economical for Tesla to line up the unveiling with the Cybertruck delivery event.

There are some people on here that don't believe a Tesla Van will be released, but I am for sure a believer!! :)

They can't get serious about the Boring Loops until they can fill them with low-cost, fully autonomous vehicles.

Yeah, that's what some people thought was going to be a "van." Seems to be more of a "people mover," that a van to me.

I think the Boring Tunnels are the future, but like you said, it will take some time for the general population to have low-cost EVs available and then the loops to be built.

I'm thinking the "Tesla Van" will be like a cool substitution vehicle of the minivan for the soccer mom. :)

Ford is really starting to sell its eTransit...
If Tesla wants a vehicle in that segment, it needs to get jumping...
I hope they do announce a van at the Cybertruck delivery event... but not holding my breath either.

I think there is zero chance of a new reveal at the CT launch. It just distracts from the launch itself.
agreed. also it would be nice to save a new vehicle reveal until its within months of being production ready. the cybertruck wait was wayyyy too long.

The only loop system currently open to the public is Vegas. Once the concept is well proven in Vegas, we could see this expand to other cities. If the Vegas Loop shows a negative impact to surface real estate (not connected on the loop), it could face a huge resistance at other planning board meetings. I love the idea of loops but I think their growth potential is uncertain (at least in the short run).

Considering Boring Company is marketing their tunnels for public transportation, utility, freight, pedestrian and "bare", I think a dedicated skateboard platform would be more effective. If they are operating almost entirely in the tunnels, they will probably require very small batter packs with station charging at each stop.

There is currently a huge market for delivery/service vans for regular roads. Tesla service is using Model S and its definitely not the right vehicle for the job. I spoke with a mobile service tech last week and they said they missed the work awnings for rain days that they had on their ICE work vans.

If Tesla wants a product in each major vehicle sector, commercial work vans is a product they NEED to make. Semi covers warehouse to warehouse but its not a great match for last mile applications. An all wheel steer platform could make navigating cities much easier. I don't think they will require the stainless steel shells of cybertruck but the giga castings and powertrains could be utilized.

I don't think they will announce a new vehicle at the delivery event. It's possible they will unveil different accessories though: Quad, RV/travel trailer, etc. Possibly some Optimus updates. That will be enough to pump stock and increase interest, they can save a new vehicle for another time.

A SS Cybervan is a no brainer. I am convinced that Tesla is secretly working on a concept.

The market is huge for a commercial and passenger version. Tradesman, delivery companies and small businesses would love the durability, security and low operating costs of a SS Cybervan.
