It was such a stupid thing for Tesla to do when they knew it was easily fact-checked. That is the obvious difference here.

Then again Elon is misleading on many things he has said for years now. He has lost a ton of credibility in the past few years.

Every automotive commercial I've ever seen included the disclaimer: "NOTE: Performed by a professional driver on a closed road. Do not attempt. Demoed vehicle included option packages that are $30,000 more than the price shown."

It's all just puffery.

Oh, what’s this. A small little graphic that they tried to hide in the video. Engineering explained was never in launch mode /beast mode…

There was a reason they kept on trying to hide the interior shot of the truck, but kept on showing the interior gauge cluster of the 911.

Also don't forget this was on All Terrain Tires. If they used All Seasons, then I'd expect a much faster time. This is all 1/8 mile, BTW. Even though it would improve the 1/4 mile, I'm not sure it'd be enough...

Has the top speed firmware been released yet for the Cyberbeast? I didn’t watch (don’t want to give $5) the video. If they ran without that update this is an invalid test. “Elon lied” people need to stuff it a bit longer.

The top speed of 112 mph for the dual and Tri-Beast (future 130 mph) has *nothing* to do with this. It is not a power update but a speed limiter (governor) update. There is no excuse for the lack of Tesla/Elon's honesty and integrity here.

Clearly, it only hit 105 mph per all the information and graphics above.
