I bought one of these to carry in the Cybertruck with an electric extension cord. $40 at Home Depot, 120 v AC powered.

No financial interest just sharing something I thought might be helpful to other truck owners.

Why did you buy that for the Cybertruck? It's not suitable for inflating Cybertruck tires. Just because it might work to add a couple pounds air, doesn't mean you should recommend it.

Well, I was looking for a compact air compressor that would fit into the under bed storage area and could plug into the 120 v outlet of the Truck. This one had good reviews, is reported to be able to achieve something like 130 psi, has a 2 year warranty is available at Home Depot stores and is relatively inexpensive. On the negative side, the instructions say to let it cool down after 5 minutes of continuous running. It’s my guess, it might take several runs to fill the 35 inch tires if completely empty. I’m not aware of a product that more closely matches the criteria I thought were acceptable. That said, I have no particular expertise in this area and my opinions are my own.

Have you experienced unsatisfactory service from this product, company or store? Is There a measurable specification this item fails to meet? What product would you suggest as an alternative?

I was thinking something to put air in the tires was better than nothing.

I haven't used the product, I could tell by reading the product listing there was no way it was going to be able to air up all four CT tires from 36 psi to 50 psi, or from 50 psi to the towing pressure of 65 psi, without overheating and/or taking forever. I don't have 45 minutes to air my tires back up. The price was the first giveaway, the listing description was the second. The third giveaway was they didn't list cfm specs at different pressures.

If I'm doing serious off-roading, I'm taking a bunch of heavy-duty gear, including a 120V air pump. For everyday urban use, something more judicious is fine.

That said, I decided to air-down to 36 and time how long it took for my portable unit to get back to 50PSI. After 12 minutes it had only got to 44 and the battery died :ROFLMAO:

I’ve got to concede to your observations. can we agree that the pump may be useful to top off the e-bike tires that it’s hauling, to inflate an air mattress, and maybe the water wings I ware when I wander in over my head?

Your probably much more hard core in off road use of the truck than I’ll ever be. I see my use case as trying not to get stuck in the mud or sand and getting through flooded roads.

For recreational use off road these days, this is my first go to.

Would this be a better option?
PITTSBURGH AUTOMOTIVE 12V 150 PSI Compact Air Compressor - https://hftools.com/app63184

I have not purchased this compressor so no clue as to its quality or suitability.

Well, that compressor has alligator clips to connect to a 12 volt battery. I don’t know how to do that in the cybertruck. I’m looking for something to plug into the 120 v AC outlet in the bed and still be small enough to fit in the under bed storage area leaving some space for other things. I do appreciate your input.

I have this one in my truck. Bought it because it's dual voltage and can be used to inflate tires or inflatables like an air mattress or beach ball. https://a.co/d/8aLuvI2

I haven't had to use it to inflate a tire on my truck yet, but did try to use it on a friend's tractor tire. Unfortunately, the tire had a pretty bad leak so I can't say for sure if it's a great pump or not.
