TollTag Placement [Update: Top of Windshield is Good]

Where is everyone putting their TollTag/NTTA stickers? The manual says "next to the rear view mirror", but the "rvm" assembly is crazy big. Can anyone confirm or deny that the stickers work in a specific spot? I plan on trying mine at the very top of the windshield beside the mirror assembly (where the M3/MY tell you to put it).

In my Model 3 and Model Y, I put it right of the camera assembly. I'd say the same should work.

Hoping it’ll work further up. The camera and mirror are a lot lower than other models. I’m gonna have it at the top of this, hoping they’re not blocking signals in that shaded area.

I'd say to the right, about an inch below where the shading starts.

Does that shading tend to block the signal? I know it's there for the sun but not sure if it's got any other blocking characteristics. Trying to put it higher up, I don't want it in the middle of the windshield lol.

I’ll definitely be asking about this during my delivery. I’ve noticed over the years that my MS tag doesn’t always pick up, of course they have my license plate so worry from that aspect.

I've also been relying on plate reads, but would be great to finally be able to 1) use it at the airport and 2) not have to call PikePass to fix charges every time I drive through Oklahoma lol.

Good point. Each time I go through the airport, I do have to pay. (There was my evidence that it wasn’t reading.)

I can confirm that shaded area is a perfect out-of-the-way spot . Received my tag yesterday and tested it out today by going in and out of DFW. Read it really quick, I barely had to stop .

When I purchased the Model S with a nose cone back in 2014, the Houston service center recommended getting the plate mount toll tag which they zip tied under the nose cone. However after calling NTTA, they do not offer this version in DFW.

Has someone else tried this on their CT?
