Love my dual too but wouldn't mind having an extra motor or TWO =]. Especially if they come out with a better battery that gets the range to 500+.
Hell that was the plan

Then I will buy it :) I got smoked yesterday by a Rivian R1T Dual Motor performance, I sure hope tesla give us a Accel Boost.
I only go ICE hunting, with other EVs I dont want to look weak if I lose.. 😁

How did you get the top speed unlocked? As of a few days ago my Beast still tops out at 114 mph on software version 20.9

Same. Given time may become an option. Imagine there is no real wiring set up difference between dual and beast so installing a third and possibly a fourth motor after production should be possible but costly.
There's not much difference neyween AWD and Beast because the pack has three high power high voltage connections.
Adding a fourth motor would require another or a front drive unit with additional HV wiring. It also needs to fit two motors and gearsets in the available space.

At launch In the AWD, the front is traction limited already and the rear is power limited. The Beast adds the back motor which makes both front and back traction limited at launch. Adding a 4th motor up front only helps down the track. If anything we could expect larger motors all around before we would expect to see them add one up front.

I had a Model S Plaid, went with the AWD. Why?

I rarely drove the Plaid in Plaid mode, it was too twitchy. While I enjoyed the power, the one thing I definitely would have found more useful on a few trips was added range, even 20-30 miles would have meant the difference of not charging on a long day trip vs needing to make 1 supercharger pit stop.

I like the fact the AWD is lighter, has longer range, still has plenty of power on tap (600hp is nothing to sneeze at) and has mechanical lockers on the front and rear vs. front-only for the Beast. I'm averaging 3 mi/kwh over 1,200 miles - pretty close to what I was getting on my Model S Plaid on 21's - which is outstanding. More then 340 miles of real-world range as opposed to the Plaid which had closer to 260-280 miles real-world. I do miss the three-headed Cyberbeast logo though...
