For some reason I follow this guy on LinkedIn - "TorqueNews" isn't exactly a respectable publication but unfortunately people in the automotive world read his stuff. Check this out - his entire post is based on "A CT Owner says his brakes caught on fire....." without offering any verifiable details about the incident or owner, which isn't surprising as he most likely just made it up (most of his posts are like this). But low-information readers just accept garbage like this as fact - and use it to further solidify their ill-informed opinions about Tesla and the CyberTruck in general.

To be fair, the brake-fire incident was posted on this forum a few days ago, I have no reason to doubt its veracity.

However, this is a good reminder to all that a website that shall remain unnamed (starts with "T" and rhymes with "Dork") is generating "news" from our forum posts:

While it's great that we can all share stories and collaborate on problems, we should should be somewhat circumspect about relaying negativity. It will get republished, without your permission, and out of context, by those pushing a narrative.
