I was fortunate enough to purchase a @Urander bed rack during their black Friday sales event. After placing the order, I then realized that I would also need to have my back ordered OEM light bar also installed (before I could actually install the rack). Otherwise, I would then need to partially disassemble the rack to allow for the power connection on the light bar to the truck.

I reached out to my local Tesla service center via my app, explained the issue I created. They were very understanding and were actually able to order in the light bar right away for me. The timing worked out great, the rack arrived 2 days before my service appointment. Just a day after my SC appointment, I installed the rack.

Here is the result. I can confirm the Urander bed rack is completely compatible to an installed OEM light bar, and I think that they actually look really great together. Moral of the story, if you still have a back ordered OEM light bar, order a Urander bed rack! (Just kidding...kinda...and no, I am not sponsored by anyone).

Nice! How’s your wind noise at 50+ mph?

I noticed hardly any difference at all (if any). With it installed, I’m hyper aware of any noise now, as I was really anticipating it to increase to very noticeable levels. At first, I purposely turned off any media and really listened for it, and I honestly really couldn’t tell if it’s louder now or not. I’m not sure if it’s due to the trucks built in active noise cancellation, the very good cabin insulation and advertised acoustic glass it comes with, or if it is just not very noisy. I was expecting noticeably more, but I don’t really notice a difference. With the media playing, I hear literally nothing at all (but the media), and wind is only just perceptible to very slight, with no media playing (and that’s with me really trying to hear the wind). So very happy with it (for whichever reason that it’s possibly more reduced than I expected). I’ve actually also been getting a lot of compliments now on its looks with it added, with people specifically mentioning it.

This is so cool...I could do motorcycle track days and not have to bring an EZ-up.
Except for those windy days.. willow springs near me used to get pretty strong winds.
