Great work!! This looks amazing! What kind of rail slot is on the crossbeams? What material did you decide on? Is the dynamic load rating 440 lbs?

  • What do you think of our current design and features?
  • How can we make future designs even better?
  • What other products for your Cybertruck do you want to see? (We got many more in the works, help us prioritize)
  • The versatility of molle panels makes it incredibly useful for just about any adventure, so I personally love the molle design! I have yet to purchase a rack, just waiting for the market to mature a bit, but this is certainly a contender for me.
  • It may be worth while to consider designing an enclosed option for those that might want a more "shell" option instead of a rack. Obviously that's not the target audience just yet, but a thought.
  • One big problem with the Cybertruck is that there's no included spare, you may want to design a way to carry a spare with your rack.
  • Many folks will want a way to lock the interior of the rack, so perhaps adding a rear door in future iterations.
  • Here's my personal list of products I want to see but haven't yet:
    • Aluminum replacements for the exterior plastic trim: bumpers, rock rails, fender flairs, etc. Aluminum is my preferred material
    • An integrated way to mount a winch. Personally, I'd aim for the large frame mount points behind the front d rings
    • A drop in place 12v system for high wind up applications like a which with a dashboard-fitted solar maintainer

Thanks for your question! We’ve designed our system with a standard rail slot, 7/16" wide at the top and 22mm (14/16") at the bottom, using high-grade T6 aluminum, just like industry leaders Yakima and Front Runner. Tesla rates their 4-crossbar set at 440 lbs, and to ensure safety, we stick to that rating.

Here’s a photo showing the static capacity with three individuals (170 lbs, 180 lbs, and 195 lbs), along with a 115 lbs Yakima tent and a 35 lbs Starlink with mount. Hope this helps!

Yeah, the Cybertruck static rating is weirdly missing. Looks amazing!

Is the branded tent and awning something you will offer as well? Is there a “package” price? Is there anything they offer unique to your set up or is it just pre vetted to maximize space and compatibility?

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! We're thrilled to hear you love the versatility of the MOLLE panels. We’re definitely considering enclosed option and a rear door, and your suggestions are incredibly valuable.

Aluminum replacements for exterior plastic are also a great suggestion—front bumpers with winches, rock sliders, and wide fender flares will be our next focus. ;)

For the spare tire, we’re planning to develop a mount either underneath the top of the rack or at the back of the tailgate—similar to what off-road Toyotas, Jeeps, and Land Rovers use. We’re avoiding mounting the tire on top of the rack or roof top tent to prevent difficulty in accessing it and to minimize additional drag.

Yes, we’ve partnered with a supplier from one of the top three rooftop tent companies on Google to maximize the 57-inch width and headroom, even adding a small window at the front. We’re finalizing the shipping costs for the tent (57 x 80 inches mattress size) and awning (118 x 99 inches), so we’ll share the package price soon. Both items are oversized, and we’re working to offer the best delivery options.

Would you offer a free local pickup option as well?

Just had another thought for a low-hanging product you could offer with relatively low production costs: mirror location accessory mounts. Instead of just a mirror delete kit, swap the mirror with a sturdy bracket for mounting 9" off-road lights. I'll be mounting these, personally, and I've been waiting on something more useful to be released for those prime positions. You could even have a manual adjust (oldschool) cybermirror mounted behind the hardpoint, if you wanted.

A longer mirror that would provide better angles for towing may also be helpful.
