This is awesome! Since I don't carry a wallet and don't have a way to store key cards, I just found out I can use my Galaxy Ultra Watch as a key with the Tessie app. I always worried about what would happen if my phone died or got lost while road tripping

You'd think the Tessie app wouldn't be necessary that your Tesla would just "see" your watch and let you in.

Exactly. If the watch didn't require using the Tessie app, I would get one, even though I always have my phone with me to function as a key.

This is an upcoming feature directly from Tesla. It doesn’t require the Tessie app though it is the best one. There’s also (on iOS) apps like watchapp for Tesla, Stats for Tesla, Watchla, etc.

Tessie is more expensive, but it does a whole lot more than just watch as a key.

You might like the ring or bracelet then that works like a keycard.
