I’ve convinced myself that keeping fingerprints off the CT is going to be a vicious cycle that will never end. Tested over a dozen products ranging from Stainless Steel cleaners to BKF. Most work, but some just don’t really “clean” the oils off the surface without using a hellacious amount of effort. A friend of friend of a friend is a appliance repairman and without even asking him he said “ Use Sprayway on that thing”. He swears by it. After finishing his repairs he sprays them down, wipes it off and gives it final buff with a micro-finer towel. So into the back of his van he goes and retrieves a bottle with a pack of Costco Micro-fiber towels. Gives it a shake and proceeds to spray the hood with a fine mist. Wipes it down and follows with a clean towel to buff off the excess. Honestly the cleanest this truck ever looked. Got me a few bottles at Home Depot and proceeded to finish the truck in 10 minutes. This is not a “Sponsored” post, just an honest opinion. Give it a whirl, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Zero Ammonia!!!! That was my first question to him. He said he uses it just for that reason. He said a majority of “stainless steel” appliance manufacturers use the lowest grade stainless and Sprayway works on all of them.

Sprayway is the solution. I keep it under the net in the frunk with a microfiber. It’s so easy to take off fingerprints. One small spray on towel, wipe and buff with the dry side. 20 sec and spotless. Anyone struggling with getting them off, this is the way. Been doing it for 3 weeks now. So easy. And for the bug bodies on the front fascia, spay the spray way foam on the panel, give it a minute, they wipe right off, buff dry and your done. Nothing stronger needed. I’m actually going to miss how easy it’s been to keep the stainless clean when I get wrapped next week. But I want color 🤷‍♂️

What is all the craziness about Ammonia? Are we using it day in and day out? For years at a time? I guess the same people are eating all organic, non GMO food and not using Roundup in their yards 🤷‍♂️ Wear some gloves and use the windex in a well ventilated area.

This was one of the first thing in my cleaning product arsenal I tried. I tried many other products also, but sprayaway is far and away the easiest and fastest way to make a panel look nice again. i also had to use it when the Tesla branded stainless bottle from their official cleaning kit made a complete oily mess of a door I tested it on. The waterless in that kit also works surprisingly well, but spray away is king. And it’s cheap.

I use spray away for fingerprints and grime and it works great. For several day old water stains or some areas of oxidation I have used 50% water and 50% white vinegar and it works great. The white vinegar mix will get fingerprints too. I used citrisurf 77 but that is stronger than vinegar and a white crust can occur after it rains (seems like within 12 hrs of cleaning my truck it rains).

The more I have the truck I am in the less is more category for cleaning. No bkf or windex and it takes me 20 minutes to wipe down truck and looks great.

I’ve always been an Invisible Glass person, but I’ll have to give the SprayWay a try!!

Im still waiting on "the best" recommended sealant/coating.. DIYdetail metal or protectaclear, I dont want to have to wipe down my truck every day... Haven't even cleaned mine yet, once I hear online of an actual coating that is working great, then ill clean/coat

I had a 6 pack of spray away I thought I was going to throw out since everyone was saying windex is better. I tried the spray away yesterday and wow, it’s 100 times better than windex. Leaves no streaks.

Also what’s the deal with acid/base? If it works it works right …?

Ammonia corrodes stainless steel. Long-term exposure will damage the surface.

I have been a loyal user of the SprayAway ammonia free formula for many years. It's the best glass cleaner I have ever used.

It's great to hear that is works wonders on the Cybertruck's stainless steel panels.
