Tesla can sue owners for $50k OR the profit gained from any sale, whichever is greater.
It actually doesn't even say the profit. They could take all of the money if they want, based on the no resale agreement.

Tesla should ban the VIN's original purchaser from any future transactions for life, and brick the CT.

Then Tesla should assist the second buyer in suing the original owner for selling a bricked CT, as long as the CT ultimately gets returned to Tesla for parts or whatever.

That's the way to stop it. If the cargurus ad is indeed real, it wouldn't be happening very much more if Tesla took those steps.

Such an outrageous take. I'm not really a huge fan of resellers, but trying to put such severe limits on an individual's private property is just wild.
