Today is delivery day!!!

***********************************************
Posting here as well, know it is not the “proper” thread but hoping the J1772 lock will help other people.

Parked next to a Cybertruck on Monday (2024.05.06) in SLC premium parking area. When I parked your truck was plugged in. When I just got back (Thursday - 2024.05 09) it was not plugged in which I assume is just some asshat unplugging you to be a dick so I scanned my ChargePoint account and got you charging again. I always use a J1772 lock adapter when I use a public charger so people cannot do this.

https://a.co/d/69ZPiI7

Hope it helped!!

Update: They must of unplugged you right after I parked. Your truck pulled 42 kWh before going idle. Silly that people mess with vehicles that are plugged

Hey man that’s me! Left town friday evening for a vacation with El Wifey

I was wondering what happened with the charging. Went to check the sentry cams just for fun on Wednesday and noticed that my truck was down to like 50%. Thought that was strange.

Checked the drivers side cam and could see that the adapter was still there and the charge door had closed on it.

Honestly can count the number of times I’ve used a non-supercharger or non-home based charger on two hands over 6 years as a Tesla owner. Usually don’t plug in at the airport but I was a dumbass and forgot to charge the night before.

For some reason I had it I my addled brain that you couldn’t unplug it while it was plugged in.

I guess that’s clearly just the adapter…. Hahaha!

Hoping maybe someone just really needed a charge and noticed that my charge was done and unplugged it out if necessity. Most likely they were just being an asshat like you said (my god I love that word!) but a guy can hope.😂

You sir, are a good man. I’ll send you a DM. I wanna buy you a beer or a soda or a steak for being a straight up stallion and plugging BMF back in. 80% charge make Mothers Day plans so much easier when we return!

May your truck delivery go smoothly and your truck be everything you want it to be!

t has been for me!

Cheers my brother!

PS Amazon delivering those locking rings next week… 😀

Delivery was just fine. For those curious, I did not submit my final payment until I got a chance to look at the Cybertruck and make sure nothing was crazy wrong with it. Check all the things people have reported as issue and didn’t see anything so I submitted the final payment on the app and finished the couple steps for delivery. It gave me access to the Cybertruck, configured the two key cards and my iPhone as a key then we made our way to dinner! The ride of the Cybertruck is great. Even the wife said she felt it had a better ride than the 2020 Model X we have.

I will say they didn’t have it washed but the inside was just fine. Plan to give it some TLC tomorrow, make sure there isn’t anything I missed in the excitement of delivery!

Will report back after a couple days!

Finally got a VIN assignment! I went over to PG to ask and see if my truck was already there, the reps there let me know it was in TX still, but told me that they see turn arounds in about 1-3 weeks, so really exciting.

Configure date: Feb 9
VIN assignment May 11
Delivery Date: TBD
VIN: 0112XX

Hiya!

Finally got a chance to take the truck for a real drive. This thing handles like a freakin’ dream! Did a 80 mile drive from the house, about 40 of it was all mountain pass and switchbacks. Told myself I was going to “drive like a normal person” but that didn’t happen.

So far no issues with the truck outside of the steering wheel centered issue I posted a while back. I saw some people saying the the regen was weak and I do think it reduces regen more than our 2020 X. Almost feels like it is more sensitive to battery temp. It was around 55°F for my drive today and it did pop up the regen limited icon a couple times. When the regen is at full strength is seems strong.

Slight Change of Subject:

Has any of the OG and super helpful PG delivery recipients (I'm looking at you DumpsterFire!) got their Tesla Gateway 3 and Universal Wall Charger email yet?

AND if so, which "Tesla Certified Installer" was your "kit" sent to?

I took delivery on April 27 and nothing yet.

I find myself in an inconvent situation where my certified Tesla solar installers (Intermountain Wind and Solar) have heard nothing from Tesla about my hardware AND only want to come to my end of the Earth (Tropic, Utah) once. So, they will NOT install any of my $70k array (apparently I'm paying an end of the Earth surcharge too?) with 2 Powerwalls until they have everything in-hand. And yet the 3rd party lending company IWA set me up with is happy to start charging me interest on my loan while I have nothing to show for it... bless their hearts!

Sorry if this issue has been addressed elsewhere. I'm too busy doing cool stuff with my CyberTruck (and paying interest on my invisible solar array) to spend as much time on CTOC as I should.

Cheers!

I’m heading down from Idaho Falls to Pleasant Grove on Wednesday to pick up my AWD Cybertruck! I’m so excited! VIN range 15,8xx and I’ve been waiting 1,655 days so far and can hardly contain myself. My wife and I haven’t told the kids and they’re going to explode when they find out as we pull into the delivery center.

Maybe you've already figured this out, but picked up April 25, and on June 4th I received an email titled "Update: Your Powershare Home Backup Installation." It states Tesla will be sending a $2,500 voucher for equipment purchase. There is a link in the email to Tesla's Powershare Support page. The page includes this info (my bold/underline added):

Order and Installation Process
Within a few weeks of you placing your Foundation Series Cybertruck order, here’s what you can expect:
  1. We will email you a $2,500 Tesla Shop voucher and instructions for coordinating with a Tesla Certified Installer for the installation of your Powershare Home Backup equipment. The voucher can be used for either a single purchase in the Tesla Shop, which may include various items up to the voucher value, or toward the cost of your Powershare Home Backup equipment.
  2. If your home is eligible and you are interested in installing a Powershare Home Backup, you can contact a Tesla Certified Installer and sign an installation agreement to have your Powershare Home Backup equipment installed. Visit our designated Certified Installer Qmerit to request a quote. Installation cost depends on the installation configuration and complexity, but typically ranges from $2,000 to $3,500.
  3. If your home is ineligible or you are not interested in installing Powershare Home Backup equipment, you may use the voucher for a single purchase in the Tesla Shop as an alternative.
  4. Once you have signed an installation agreement with a Tesla Certified installer, use the provided voucher in the Tesla Shop to purchase your Powershare Home Backup equipment.
  5. After receiving your Powershare Home Backup equipment, coordinate with the Certified Installer for installation.
However, just before that the page states: "If your home is equipped with Powerwall and home charging, you do not require any additional equipment."

I have been through some early talks with my assigned installer Car Charging Pros (I'm up in Tremonton). I have a solar system already, but I'm thinking I'll add a single Powerwall so I can continue to use my solar during a power outage. If we had an extended outage I'd use the Cybertruck battery for (A LOT) more capacity. But if I'm understanding correctly I would not buy the extra equipment and spend the $2,500 in the Tesla shop on something else. The voucher does have to be spent all in a single purchase so that could be a challenge :ROFLMAO:

Thank you VERY much Bothwalien,

I did get the email shortly after making tossing this message in a bottle, and I'm kind of in a similar situation where my installer was ready to install 34PVs 2 Powerwall IIIs, etc. 2 months ago and just waiting for my Gateway III that comes with CyberTruck. I understand that with Powerwall III(s) they don't absolutely need the Gateway III but knowing Tesla like I do for these past 7 years (10 as a share holder) I expect that Gateway will be able to do something especially cool down the road with a software update and I don't want to trade that for cash or free supercharging or whatever other option.
