I picked up my AWD CT today. Probably the main thing I was worried about was hating the yoke / squircle or whatever you want to call it. I'm 6'4 with big hands and it just looked so small in pictures. I'm very happy to say that not only is it not an issue, I actually love it. It feels very natural and comfortable and just makes sense. Also the stalk-less design just makes sense and is great. A bit of muscle memory to unlearn and I wish I could swap the left right buttons, or even better, reposition them so the right is actually on the right of the yoke. My personal ideal would be to move them to the underside of the top horizontal bar where Icould hit with my left and right thumbs (if that makes any sense lol). But my brain will adjust on where they are soon enough. I'm pretty certain I'm going to be super annoyed driving any other car with stalks now.

I feel the onscreen/button controls are passable, but I wouldn't say they are better.

Why is going into park sometimes a HOLD and sometimes a TAP?

Flashing high beams doesnt come with a tactile click.

Left and Right signals are more intuitive with stalks, they work the same way the wheel is turning.

For me the one thing I miss the most of having a physical control for the wipers. Rain can change intensity from one moment to the next. It was nice to be able to know what it is set at with a single touch and no looking. With the new wiper controls peeking at the screen is required. But this gripe only matters because the auto wipers are useless.

I think maybe cruise control is better with Tesla's controls. Click to start and roll to adjust. Not to mention the control you can have over its automatic speed settings.

When going in to park it is a tap if you have your foot on the break. It is a hold if you don’t and are just in hold mode. If you take your seatbelt off it will put the truck in park. I’m trying to train myself to just take my seatbelt off.

"Whenever you press the wiper button on the steering wheel, the touchscreen displays the wiper menu, allowing you to adjust wiper settings. Roll the left scroll button on the steering wheel up or down to choose your desired setting."

You can also use voice controls for the wipers, if that is your preference.

Yep. Love the squirkle- works far better than expected.

My sense is that the combo with drive by wire and squirkle makes the magic

My main issue with the squircle is the adjustability. The diameter is smaller because it's more agile and responsive, but that means it needs more in/out and up/down range. I have mine ALL the way out and down, but it's still not quite right for me.

Would it help to adjust your seat for better fitment?

I adjust the seat for pedal reach, and the wheel for my arms. I can't quite rest my left arm on the door and still hold the wheel. I need an aftermarket armrest lol

Or open your door to put in park if you dont have your seat belt on at the time. I literally never use the ā€parkā€ function and its one of my favorite hidden features.

I have the exact same problem lol and thought I was the only one. Ive been resting my left arm on top of the squircle and hoping after FSD, I can comfortably rest my arm on the door without needing to touch the squircle all the time.

I really worry I'm gonna just hop out of an ICE car and expect it to stop on its own
