I stated exponential decay... which is slowing down at a quickening rate.

Not trying to score points, simply stating that the reason why the film happens. Tint early will absorb off gasses, tint a year or so in will make zero difference as the off gassing is mostly complete.
how long until the off gas stops?
My CT is five months old and had Tesla clean the front camera area today, warranteed/free
im ok with doing it again and even paying in six months
but then am I done? no more off gas

There are many variables to that. Heat, humidity, UV exposure, etc. If you live in Arizona and keep it in the sun, probably a few months. If you garage it all the time and are in Minnesota, it might take over year until it slows enough to stop filming up.

I live in a dry, but fairly cold climate with lots of sun (Wyoming/Colorado) where it is parked outside ~half the time, and it dissipated in ~4-5 months for me. Rule of thumb, colder and more humid with less sun exposure will have it take longer. If you get a series of really hot days, cracking the windows and letting it bake in the sun will accelerate the process.

Yea I love the way the truck looks with the stainless, I wouldn't change that. That's why I went with the clear PPF as well
I was close to pulling the trigger on a satin clear but decided I could always do that. After the first maybe two washes, my truck no longer gets fingerprints and stays looking okay even when I know it's time to wash it. Well, not right now. Right now, it looks like crap. Salt all over it. So much salt.

I'm loving how the salt looks.

Except my brand new cantrails, those are conspicuously clean.
