Previously on My Wait For Cybertruck

============================================================

OK, given what we now know... I'm starting to have all kinds of crazy ideas about what might be possible on CT.

Recently the MS Plaid got a new option for special racing brakes.

So with the CT use cases in mind, what base features and options do you all see coming to fruition at the CT roadmap reveal?

Keep in mind the Elon statement of bringing post-apocalyptic future tech into the now (well, this is Elon, we won't actually get it for another year).

As a start, I go back to the options that were pictured but not really talked about in the original reveal.

Tesla Cybertruck What else will CT have? 1638572034339

Nice looking trailer.
Maybe it also has biodefense air filter?
Extra batteries and motors to keep from sapping any range from the CT?
Solar on top, maybe even fold-out solar for added charging?
Independent suspension just like the CT?
Included Starlink?

Nice camping setup.

Perhaps it includes water treatment like the Cyberlander?
"Tent" area could be self folding and solid surface?
Extra hookup somehow for a shower?
External speakers and lights for midnight rave?
Tesla app comes with a stargazing feature where you point your app at the sky and it labels the constelations?
As a little "lip" that can pop up on the front of the frunk so you can lay on the front windshield staring up at the stars without sliding off the front. (Remember that with the body of SS and the windows of transparent aluminum, standing/sitting on the vehicle will not cause dents or scratches).

And Sandy Munro has said multiple times that he thinks manufacturers will increase the voltage of the internal systems. Is it Lucid that upped to something like 900V?

Will the CT have a higher voltage system?

And instead of 12V components, Elon was previously talking about something like 48V. Has the CT been delayed enough to actually implement the 48V system?

And Elon has previously mentioned having an additional solar feature to generate extra range. I wonder how much might be added. Once we see the Aptera with basically the whole top of the body covered in solar power, there seems to be more opportunity for the CT (front hood, under the windshield, etc).

Then there was this exchange:

Hmmm...

So maybe even be able to condense water out of thin air? Would be nice for camping in the desert.

So maybe some sort of defense mechanism for the truck?
Keeps the thieves from breaking in?
Perhaps the FSD cameras can watch for people trying to break in and selectively zap them?

Will the Not-A-Flamethrower come back in stock as a CT option?

So along with the machine gun mount, perhaps the originally imagined bed rails will come into being? Would make mounting all sorts of things so much easier.

And since we have so many other features that have been implemented to best the competition, how about the full-length storage passage like the Bollinger. Is the Bollinger even a thing anymore? Haven't heard a peep from them lately.

But imagine if the midgate folded down, the height of the bed and the height of the center console were lined up, and then the front dash had a hidden door for passage into the frunk. I don't think Elon would allow for the passage to go all the way through the front bumper area though. But with that kind of length, why would anyone bother with a Bollinger at all?

Along those lines, what if something like the bed extension mechanism of Canoo were implemented. Could that result in an 8 foot bed for the CT?

So along with the crazy ideas, how about including night vision with fully dark driving.

This guy managed to drive 132 mph using night-vision goggles and a special switch to turn off all external lighting.

Don't mind the gun up front. Elon already mentioned the gun mount in the CT bed so no need for the gun up front.

I think you picked a bad day to post this. I’m burned out on Cybertruck.

I drove using NVG's in the Army.....this was back in the 80's and I'm sure the technology has improved but back then they really screwed up your depth perception especially when moving from shadows into a clear road on a moonlit night.
I assume you meant the NV system would be a camera version with a display either on a screen or projected onto the inside of the windshield.
Interesting concept for off road applications but doing it on the highway would be unnerving to other drivers on the road if you blew by them without lights on.
I doubt if the police would be amused by it either.

I'm trying to decipher what features Elon meant by these; anyone familiar with vehicles in the cyberpunk or post apocalyptic genre care to chime in?

I know Todd, Cybertruck Truck Guy talked about "bandwagon" means something popular or trending to a new norm and emphasized better integration with 3rd party hardware applications.

I want things in the CT4 to include (not an exhaustive list and I'm sure I'm not thinking 4th dimensionally enough :D):
- interior features from the refreshed S/X - more screens
- heated, cooled, and power-reclining seats in the 2nd row
- pass-through
- power frunk, tailgate, and power ramp
- V2G and V2H
- HUD (finally) or AR

Wasn't something mentioned about replacing the paper composite dash with a cool holographic glass display thing?
Also I want a keyboard. Basically I want to feel like i'm questioning the ethics of my job hunting replicants at all times.
