Once FS invites stop do y'all think invites will be doled out in the same way FS invites were made (earliest reservers first) It could take quite a while to get down to a a person that was 235,000 in line.
What is the latest production rate? I had heard 1000 per week . Later 1300.
Is there now a 2nd production line? will there be a 2nd production line?
Finally has the question of FSD capable vs. actually having FSD in the foundation series been resolved?

Well beast orders , mine anyways, is Oct - Dec time frame, I’d guess foundation doesn’t actually stop till they fill those orders.. suppose that doesn’t mean they won’t mix them in with regulars rolling off the line either.
I’m a bit jelly of these AWD’s now in my area and not having mine tho. On the plus side hopefully they will have the issues worked out by the time I get the beast, maybe even center caps šŸ˜‚

What’s the total quantity on order? I’m betting at least 500k real orders

They said they hope to hit a run rate of 2500 per week by the end of the year, which would be 130,000 per year. If they keep accelerating the ramp beyond that, maybe out put close to 200K next year (somewhere they said capacity would be 250k when fully ramped) This year looking in the neighborhood of 50K by the end of the year. So, optimistically we are looking at 250k by the end of 2025, probably all dual and cyberbeast. With 2 million reservation holders question becomes what is the conversion rate. If the number is conservatively 500k actually plan on taking orders (I think it is more than that) it will take at least until 2026 maybe even 2027 or 2028 to get through them all. Maybe they go sort of in order to fulfill reservations, although probably it’s more regionally distributed. Maybe it’s random.

There is no reason not to think so.

In other words, it's very probable that if you received an invite and didn't go for it, you'd still be at the top of the list.

Yes, I think it's very likely once non-FS ordering opens Tesla will start back at the beginning of the reservation list and work their way up through those that didn't convert their reservation to a Foundation Series. How long that takes to get to your RN is anybodies guess as it depends on conversion rate, US reservation %, production ramp, etc. I was in a similar position being around the 175-200K mark and having to wait possibly another year or more was a significant factor in making me pull the trigger on a FS truck.

Latest production rate we've heard is 1300/week with their goal being 2500/week by the end of the year. That would be what they've reported as their current production capacity, but there have been other indications they're planning a 2nd line which could eventually ramp to 5000/week.

I'm not sure why there's confusion around FSD - Foundation Series CT's get the current up-front FSD-for-life package which is currently priced at $8000 for any other Tesla. When they add Cybertruck support (e.g. finish training the model on the CT sensor/output stack) we will be able to use FSD for the life of the vehicle for no additional cost. A future non-FS truck wouldn't come with this package, though it could be added as an option (or do the monthly subscription which is currently $99/month). The trick is these FSD prices are not set in stone. They will fluctuate over time. The more complete/useful FSD is the more likely prices will go up, but no one knows for sure which way or when that will change.

They will stop taking orders long before they stop producing Foundation Series. Because that's how they roll.

We don't know what they'll do. In the past they have sometimes just dribbled out invites to configure - there's alot of us already invited which will make a rush. But they have also just done a bulk opening before, too.

Thank You Giskard, and hope you are having a wonderful Father's Day, your reply/response is about what I thought would be the answer. Just wondering if FS is still available after AWD starts now that Elon has said FS will end next quarter.

This is exactly the reason why I switched from Beast to AWD and never looked back. I’ve owned the truck almost 2 months and it gets better every single day. I might still be waiting on the Beast.

I think there's a small but possible chance the non-FS orders start where they currently are in line with offering. If they are up to 500k in line, 500,001 may be the first to get to order non-FS and then they go back to the people they passed at a later date. The original orders didn't make a ton of sense, with some day one super fans still not getting their vehicles yet, so there is precedent for things being weird. Tesla may be mad at people who didn't pay the FS price and punish them by pushing them to the back of the line, who knows?

Let's not forget when Elon felt shunned by Disney and they took it out of the Tesla apps. Does passing on an order mean you've shunned Tesla? Better hope people skipping the FS don't get the Disney treatment.

Tesla already stated after the FS production is over they will go back to the people that passed on the PS and over then the regular CT so if you are just now getting the invite for FS you’re gonna be in for a white for your turn to purchase a regular one
