Responding to recent frunkin’ photos. I was expecting more power options: 12v, or 110 and 220v AC would be great for camping and charging other electric toys ( I plan on buildin a camper for the bed. Outdoor fridge and cook top is perfect! Does the CT have a front receiver hitch or could one be welded/bolted on..i’s like another few of feet of storage box.

Also put in a changing cable/port since existing Super charger cables are so short for the rear. Perhaps, extension cards be offered and will they cut down charging rates. Even a right angle adaptor could extend another foot

Meanwhile the head light point towards the sky during night use…also, might the truck lid vibrate during driving??

The laptop bag is the frunks main purpose for me. During the summer it's the spot for the diaper bag, emergency clothes, and food I want to keep warm like takeout.

CT frunk might fit a stroller, that'd be nice so it doesn't slide too far in the bed.

Perfect world me would like to build a mobile desk station in the frunk. Complete with like a drop down monitor that mounts to the lid and a little pop out desk. Then I could live that digital nomad life to the fullest.

But people are still holding out hope for plugs in the front. Wouldn't be a hard add depending on where the inverter parts are.

It's going to be the perfect baby changing station too.

Idk what young ppl would use it for. A cooler?

Or really old people for that matter. Golf bags?

Since it's power and a "just right" size, I'll probably use it a lot. The things I always leave in the car (charge cables, first aid, blanket, etc) will live in there, and there should be plenty of room left over for a load of groceries/shopping. On weekend trips and vacation my wife's fancy bags and our laptops will go there for sure. It looks to be about the size of a Model 3 trunk, but more accessible. I love the 3's power trunk since I can open it before leaving the house/store and just have my hands full and plop everything down. I like the idea of having the bed empty so it's ready for a big or messy load, and can be washed out easily afterward.

It looks like I could hose it out when It gets dirty. So I'll probably keep recovery ropes and a plastic tarp for mud. Maybe some boots. Possibly some fishing gear. I'm thinking stuff I want to store in a place away from my good stuff.

A million things.

I will be travelling AU in an Rv, so whatever I need it to be the time. For example, if I am set up somewhere for a reasonable length of time, It might become my fishing office lol

I reckon we haven't seen the production Frunk lining yet. At least I am hoping the real one has a power panel. Elon did say the CT should be able to power a small house, I'd be gobsmacked if this tech powerhouse skimped $20?.

What kind of dumb concerns are those? You are worried about the frunk lid rattling while driving? What do you take Tesla for, a bunch of clowns? Weird idea that there will be a problem with the frunk lid vibrating. This isn't Tesla's first rodeo.

And you are worried that the charge port is too far away from Superchargers and willl need an extension? What kind of hair-brained fear is that? Just unbelievable to hear anyone say that in a serious manner. These are basic design considerations that Tesla is well aware they must get right. I mean no car is perfect, but worrying about these things would be like worrying that the roof won't be waterproof, that water will leak into the cabin. Because Tesla forgot to check for waterproofness.

All I can think is that no one is this dumb, and you must be a web bot. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but you have provided not a shred of evidence that these are real concerns.

Bots have feelings too you know?

Tesla AI has obviously integrated the feature into your bias routines.

But seriously do you have to insult everyone on first contact?

Really bad forum etiquette bud. Reel it in a bit for everyone else's sake as well. Even if the OP was a bot, the rest of us aren't.

Ever heard of the term "benefit of the doubt"?

I’m gonna put stuff in it. Chargers, ropes, etc., go to the aft underbed storage. Luggage to/from the airport generally.

If you can't see how foolish it is to worry about whether the frunk lid will rattle, without any evidence that it will, then I have to put you in the same category as the OP.

It's not normal and just creates meaningless noise on the forum.

Call me whatever you like, but just don't call me late for dinner! :p

What it is or isn't, isn't worth the constant insult.

At least try it once without, then see if it's really warranted, instead of blowing up new posters all the time.

There's been quite a few that could of been interesting to talk to, but they just don't need to deal with the abuse of the forum courtyard jester, that creates even more "NOISE" in the forum than everyone else. If I would be greeted like that on the street I'd just walk away.

Civilization requires civil behavior, especially online in forums where we are "trying" to share common interests.
