I tried to search for it, didn’t find it as topic:

If I do not have any serious issues (as far as I know), should I schedule a service appointment just to ask questions and maybe get items that have service bulletins resolved?

I have my CT since 8/31/24, so almost six months, and a little over 6K miles driven. Most miles from daily commutes, few long trips of 300+ miles/day.

I hear some of the notices that when I check this forum are deemed “normal”. I see some water in the bed after rain, but not excessive. I had an “FSD disengaged, take over immediately“ after taking a turn straight into a very bright sun, but only once, etc. I could make a long list of such items. However it all seems nothing that after reading this forum about the different things I deem serious issues.

Should I make an appointment? Would I get one without a real reason?
Do they do a tire rotation if that would be recommended?

Any suggestions from the more experienced longer term owners?

Tesla doesn’t do routine maintenance services as there is no real routine maintenance. You could schedule a tire rotation as the main event and add smaller concerns to it if needed, or just throw a few questions their way while you’re there. I do my own tire rotations so mine hasn’t been to a service center yet. Coming up on 7,000 miles and all is well, just the few minor quirks you mentioned. Those and the steel on my tailgate feels overly bouncy in the middle.

I’ll wait until something real comes up or I get something from them that requires installation at the service center (looking into the spare tire, tent, etc) to bring those things up.

When you have a problem.
Our Model 3 is 6.5 years old, 70k miles. In that time, we had service for superficial damage from shrapnel from a crash in front of us, and mobile ranger service did two minor complimentary fixes in our driveway. We rotate tires, add washer fluid, and that is all. Checked the brakes at 60k miles as suggested.
What service would you have them do? Change the oil? Replace the muffler? Maybe polish the center screen?

I am asking because I don’t know. I was reading in some of the other threads that things were fixed/updated not related to why the truck was at the CC, but because there were service bulletins.

I have no desire to make a service appointment if not needed. But I also don’t want to miss out on services they will do only when the truck is there, for whatever reason.

Consensus above seems to be that there is no need to make such an appointment, so unless others tell otherwise, that is what I will follow.

The Kona EV that I put 150 000km on had all kinds of BS service schedules haha 😄 I obviously knew better so the only service I did in that time (other than tire rotation, air filter changes and the like) was replace two litres of reduction gear fluid. They say every 30000km , I did it once the entire time I owned it and added a magnetic plug that same time. I was planning to do another one had I owned it longer but. HELLO Cyberham.

I was wondering what kind of service schedule Tesla had lined up so I'm glad this thread exists

IMPORTANT!! RTFM: it has all most of the answers. Did you really 'search' for maintenance recs on the Tesla website Cybertruck page?

Maintenance Service Intervals
https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/cybertruck/en_us/GUID-E95DAAD9-646E-4249-9930-B109ED7B1D91.html

but in particular:

Tire Rotation, Balance, and Wheel Alignment
https://www.tesla.com/ownersmanual/cybertruck/en_us/GUID-80958DFC-1AD8-4BF9-AD23-929F4AD3F8BB.html
Tesla recommends rotating the tires every 6,250 miles (10,000 km) or if tread depth difference is 2/32 in (1.6 mm) or greater, whichever comes first.
Tire rotation is an essential part of tire maintenance. It helps maintain an even tread wear pattern which enhances the tire's overall wear quality, decreases road noise and maximizes tire life.
Unbalanced wheels (sometimes noticeable as vibration through the steering wheel) affect vehicle handling and tire life. Even with regular use, wheels can get out of balance. Therefore, they should be balanced as required.
If tire wear is uneven (on one side of the tire only) or becomes abnormally excessive, check the wheel alignment.

Glad to help, but I can't imagine you've ever owned a car or truck without a maintenance section in the manual!! :) For your other issues (ESPECIALLY ones related to service bulletins), make an appointment at the local SC - when you make the request for the appointment in the app, you'll have ample chance to explain your concerns, and they'll be glad to advise you knowledgeably and happy to give you a service appt..

If you live where there is a lot of snow and salt on roads, I'd recommend getting your brakes checked/lubed every year or two. I didn't do this on my Model 3 and had to get them replaced at 25k miles.

If and when you have a problem and set up an appointment they will automatically schedule any of those things you have heard about.

Water in the bed is enough for me. Scheduled a service for that and they took care of it. I would pull the trigger.

Don't fix something that isn't broke.
Any tire Svc center can rotate the tires or throw the mechanic you used to use, a bone and have them do the tire rotation.

Shouldn't need to do it more than every other year for Tesla's... They (brakes) don't get used that often as 'regen' does most of the braking... But, UNLIKE some of the other 'cheapy' cars, Tesla's have the proper FULL SIZED rotors, calipers and pads and they should last at least 100,000 miles or more...
