I just placed my FS order so it looks like I have about 3 months (ish) before I get the VIN, based on what I'm seeing from others. In the meantime, should I be contacting someone to prepare my home power, including power share? I have not received anything from Tesla on this but I'm reading your threads and it seems like people are trying to get a jump on things.

Havnt gotten my beast VIN yet.

Rumor is no voucher paying for the equipment until after you take delivery, some within hours others weeks

truck comes with the mobile connector I guess, but will require an plug receptacle like a dryer outlet etc.

Wouldn’t bother with install quote's till closer to delivery most contractors put in a clause only valid for 30days. Doesn’t hurt to get multiple quotes either.

tip: Typically the second quote from the same company will be more then the first from my experience anyway.

best of luck.

We are first contacted regarding where we will be charging - our own home, rental etc. If you qualify for PowerShare an authorized local Tesla electrician will contact you. (They are sent the wall connector and PowerShare box.)

They physically visited my home to make sure they will be able to install the items.

Once we came up with an installation plan they scheduled to come out & install both items. I have an AWD so I had to pay up front before the install.

Install went fine, took 2-electricians about 6 hours to install, configure & activate.

This helps a lot. Now I know to just stand down until I hear from someone. Much appreciated.
