In Bob's defense, I must say, neither his wife nor he like the design as it is...
I understand, Cybertruck just isn't for everyone. Maybe someday someone will make a fiberglass electric truck with a more traditional look, for no rustables...
Do you mean, like the Corvette? Fiberglass body, steel frame, heavier than stamped steel and paint cars?

Wife said; “Why do you need a computer?”. I said; “It’s the future honey, everybody is gonna have one”. Wife said; “Why do you need a cellphone?, I said; “it’s the future honey, everybody is gonna have one”. She don’t ask anymore, she’s just goes with it.?

My wife just asks: "Where's mine?"

CT is going to give you back all the freedom your computer and your cellphone took away from you.

This comment almost stinks of Legacy Manufacturers' attempt to undermine the huge wave of Tesla fans. To what length would they go? Maybe pay a few employees to become fans on this and other sites, then suddenly have an epiphany as to how horrible the truck is, posting like this - and the word "Hideous" is key here. Trying to paint the CT as hideous - it even pissed off SirFun hahaha ??? peace

There have been several comments here that the final design took 1.5 years. I think that is a false assumption. In my opinion the lack of a factory to produce the vehicle along with battery supply limitations are the major reasons for the delay. Also consideration of various reactions to the size of the initial prototype caused part of the design modifications.

I believe any design changes we will see are mostly Elon, Franz, and team using the time to consider how to make the design better than the initial prototype.

Personally, I am hoping most of the design changes are minor as I really like the look of the prototype.

A little late to the thread but to the OP's original question, I'm hoping the CT doesn't change. I love the looks. My wife hates the way it looks and did not want me to order one. One night we were having dinner with old friends we haven't seen since pre covid, found out that his wife had a CT ordered. I overheard my wife say she didn't care if I got one..... placed my order immediately. Now she is learning more about the CT and coming around to it.
I think when it comes out and ppl see you can buy a space ship truck for the price of a boring traditional ICE truck the list of orders will grow very long.

If the CT is hideous to you and your wife IMO it is not for you and perhaps a more traditional truck is your cards

What makes the CT affordable is the CT design, if it had paint and body on frame it would be at least $100K
I think maybe they drive a Prius and LIKE it.
