Honestly the reason is that they don’t have to.As an update, Ryan Shaw (the Tesla YouTuber) just said in his review he's never driven anything like the cybertruck. So, one more reason requiring a test drive is valid. I don't know why Tesla couldn't have come up with the innovative plan of making 200 demo models before announcing they're ready to sell. They aren't even crunched for capital. The reason is they just dont care to give you the courtesy.
Why would they when peeps are buying the truck left and right sight unseen?
They did the same thing with the Model 3 in 2018 and people ate it up anyway (me included btw…)
as someone who has never owned a Tesla before, I can see why this is unsettling and bewildering to you. It was for me in 2018 as well. I totally get it. But Tesla know there are a bunch of current owners that love the shit out of their vehicles and will buy another Tesla even if they don’t get to drive them first.
