It will be interesting to see the demographic break down for eventual Cybertruck owners. Curious to see how many first-time truck owners we'll see buying the Cybertruck.

If you own or owned a truck before, post up what you had/have!

Do Honda Ridgelines count? Its kind of an Honda Odyssey El Camino Edition or a "Vuck".

Oh wow much closer to 50% than I thought… bad parkers are going to be a CT meme for a while until people get a hang of the size 😝

Unfortunately it's not just the parking I'm worried about. Driving a much bigger vehicle can be too much for some

My Cybertruck will not be the first truck I've ever bought but it will be the last vehicle I ever buy unless Tesla builds a van.

How does a '61 VW Single Cab sound.
In the '80s, thought it was a great 'Truck'

I had a '72 VW Transporter that I bought from a friend, my first 4 wheeled vehicle. He and his wife always referred to it as "the truck" and I carried on the tradition. After that I had two '69 Nissan Patrol 4x4's and after that a 2010 F-150 4x4 that I still have parked in front of the house. It only get used about 12-15 times/year, there is no way I would want to rent or borrow a truck that often. I've been driving employers trucks, Dodge Power Wagons, F-150's, F-250's, and Ford Rangers, ever since I was 16.

It looks like the Cybertruck is going to blow all of them away!

I've never driven a full-sized truck that drove/handled just like a bigger car, at least not when they were unloaded. Legacy trucks with a heavy engine up front and an empty bed in back, in RWD mode, handle completely differently from any car I've ever driven. Some of it is the higher center of gravity, some of it is the stiffer suspension, some of it is the weight distribution and some is the solid rear axle. And in 4x4 mode it's nothing like any car either, 2WD or 4WD.

The Cybertruck will probably be the first full-sized truck that actually does handle similarly to a car. The CoG will be low with the low mounted battery and suspension that can be lowered, the weight distribution will be closer to 50F/50R than most cars, and the independent 4 wheel air suspension and active damping will self-adjust for a light or heavy load.

I sure there is a country song in there somewhere, All the Trucks I've Loved Before?

Listed in order I owned them:

1987 Subaru Brat
1992 Nissan pickup SE king cab
1997 Ford F150
2007 Ford F250 King Ranch diesel
2004 Subaru Baja
1999 Ford F250 Super Duty diesel

The only one of these purchased new was the King Ranch.

Though not a "pickup", the toughest vehicle I have owned was a 1985 Toyota FJ60 Land Cruiser purchased new in 1985, before it became the ultimate soccer mom urban assault vehicle. A very utilitarian vehicle then, nothing was electric or powered, cost $13,500 new vs a new 4Runner costing $16K. It was powered by a big straight 6 (basically a tractor engine) and only got 12-14 mpg no matter what. I am pretty sure if one pushed it out of the back of a C-130 it would fall to earth at 12-14mpg. Wish I still had it.
