Of course the goal includes "Capable and Safe".

There are a lots of human drivers that can barely drive at all and are actual not capable and are not safe.

There are plenty of human drivers that can NOT handle standard situations no less handle unusual situations.

FSD is over all safer because of its attention to the task. Its hard to know how many faults would result in accidents at the moment, because people intervein, but the net result is fewer accidents.

There are 30,000 highway fatalities a year for which a human couldn't think their way out of.
Over 6,000,000 police reported accidents that humans couldn't think their way out of.

You may want to try your point again.

Actual Elon said goal is to soon be much better than a human and eventual 10x - 20x better than human using only Tesla Vision sensors ( cameras only, NO LIDAR or RADAR).

I watch the event, and am very excited for all the things, except that bus. When he said he better he was talking about safety, which I said Tesla wants to have the best safety records. And like Elon said in the video, FSD is 100% paying attention, doesn’t get tired or distracted. “Safe” doesn’t directly mean “better”. When was the last time you were behind an old lady going 12mph in a 70, and thinking, she’s a better driver because she is being safe.

All that being said. I do believe that Tesla will have better and safer driving than humans(averaged, less accidents), and I’m excited about it coming to the CT, it made me nervous when he kept saying Model 3, and Model Y without mentioning the CT

You proved my point. Capable and Safe. Different words different meanings, look them up. The examples you gave fall under safety, not capability.

Capability example: What do you do if you drive up to a road that was washed away by a flood? FSD doesnt know, a human does.

Safety example: How safe do you drive while texting, drunk, or distracted? FSD remains safe, a human not so much.

TLDR: Higher Safety = (reduced crashes), Higher Capability = (reduced interventions)

I believe that the bus's intention is to replace things like airport shuttles and even busses. It can also replace the shuttles that many companies have to carry you between buildings.
While it may not represent the mass sales, it may indeed be one of the first to implement the robotaxi concept, if it is determined that FSD can operate on a restricted course.
