Interesting... would be cool. I wonder how fast the CT would be able to change height? When we play its lightshow, will the suspension dance like the doors do on the Model X?

EDIT: I'm not asking if it'll bounce, but it wouldn't be much fun if it takes a full minute to get to max height.

I still think it'd be really cool if you could extend 3 wheels effectively picking one wheel off the ground for flat tire type of thing.

Are there suspension settings in the app for Model S/X? The CT might have settings that the other cars don’t, but if they do that would be a sign.

I just won’t to know if you’re going to be able to level that thing while camping?

I've never timed how long it takes our X to change height, but it's definitely not 1 minute, but it's not super speedy either. We lowered it from Very High to Low (not the lowest) a couple of days ago and I'd guess it's about 20-30 seconds.

Honestly, I'm worried about reliability of the air suspension. I know Tesla is putting some beefy system in the CT but the Model X has been a nightmare of maintenance. I don't know if there is anything air suspension related yet that has gone wrong, but plenty of other suspension components have had issues. We just dropped $2.5K on half shaft repair and some other fixes and after picking it up from the service center heard a creaking when going over bumps. Took it back in and the tech said it's the control arm on the right side. Doing both sides plus alignment, another $500. It's a bloody money pit... honestly turns me off buying even a new X. I'm sure they've improved since the 2017 we own, but still... they are just complex beasts... contrast to the 3 we previously owned, plus the Y we have now (my daily driver) which both have been absolutely rock solid (knock on wood).

So when I hear Elon say that the CT is a technological bandwagon, I'm both excited and worried...

For the light show I would think it could start the music in a dramatic fashion as it raised the vehicle and then slowly lower the vehicle throughout the show or something along those lines. :) As stupid as it sounds, I kind of like the light show. I've run it multiple times in my Y and it's amazing the crowd it attracts. At that point I always wish I hadn't given into the requests from the kids and try to shrink into the background until it's done. 😜 But still, it's fun.

Especially 'new' technology bandwagon is worrisome, I am sure all of us are feeling that, but one cannot do much more than be concerned until we get an in-depth evaluation. Luckily we know that Munro and Associates are keen to tear one down and they will identify all the strengths and weaknesses in the design and build for us (not that that will necessarily help but at least we will know).

The case for CT control of hight and angle is much stronger than the S/X.

I guess I could go full redneck, R at 20 mph then slam on the brakes.
