I highly doubt they will be free for the public to purchase. Actually, I think Elon said they were not going to do that at the announcement.

I was under the impression that GenPop would be able to buy them and run them for personal use if they wanted. Suppose we will see. I’d get one and use it for robotaxi in my area. Although I don’t see one generating 30k/year but that’s another topic.
