The Tesla Service Center has been unable to figure out what is causing the noise in the attached video. You can hear it start at about 17 seconds in. They have replaced the windshield and adjusted the suspension but this has not fixed the issue. I saw another post on purging the coolant lines and did this in service mode without any success. I am curious if others have heard this noise and whether or not it is related to wind, bearings/motors, or the HVAC system.

Other interesting notes, the noise goes away around corners.

I get the same whistling sound and I'd say the best thing to do is start to tape some gaps on the outside and see what fixes it, it's so weird!

I get that same noise at around 40 mph but only when it's cold outside, like 40F or below. This week it's been mid 50's and I don't hear it. SC told me they thought it was related to the heat pump.

If it was related to the heat pump, I don't understand why it would only happen while it is cold outside. The coolant system does not use different items when in cooling versus heating, it's just a closed loop with a reversing valve. For mine, the sound does not fully disappear, I can still hear it in warmer temperatures but it is not as shrill, it seems more muted but still there.

There is no reversing valve.
The cabin has dual condensers (cabin heat) and an evaporator (cabin cooling).
The supermanifold has an evaporator and a condenser.

I have the same noise issue. Also 40-60 most noticeable. And seemingly more when cold. Mine goes away on a gradual left curve. But is present on straight away or right hand curve. I call it a whistling or rustling noise. Definitely up front somewhere.

I as well have this noise. I don't believe I had this noise when I first got the truck.

As mentioned above mine disappears when doing a left hand turn and it seems to be gone during the rain.

I hadn't noticed the rain difference, I will have to see if it is the same, I wonder why rain would make a difference.

I have the same noise, 32,000 VIN

Mine completely goes away when you punch the throttle, while leads me to believe that it is not wind noise and has to be related to something with the motor. Or any least, with a rotating part of the front of the truck. If it was an ICE car I would think bearing or something rubbing a wheel or brake pad.

it’s very annoying and the service center says it’s normal.

Has anyone had any breakthroughs?

Mine has that sound too, it’s like someone turns on a valve to let water run. It seems to start when I reach 45-50mph and that’s just driving straight. My truck was made end of Jan 2025
