Replace the wiper fluid with Rain-X and you won't even need the wiper nearly as much of the time. I know it's not in there now because one can easily tell the difference.

Here's an example comparison video showing the difference between the Rain-X coated windshield, versus the side windows without it.

I hear that one of the design issues was that at full speed, the far end of the wiper was approaching the speed of sound and causing sonic booms!

It's ridiculous. I'm considering removing the wiper as well as the mirrors. Then keep the window well greased with extra strength rainX or a super-hydrophobic coating

What the problem with it's big and it works. It blends in when looking at the truck.
