Looks like there is going to be an aftermarket option for the non-existent rear camera washer that should have been designed from the beginning.

From ClearVu’s Instagram reel, it looks like it will be activated when the front camera washer is activated.

It is definitely needed, glad people getting this first generation version of the CT can get an aftermarket option, I am sure Tesla will have one in as a standard before long, inability to see behind the vehicle is an issue.

It will be really useful if you take the CT off-road and have dirt splash the camera.

Rearview mirror in the CT is non functional. You're able to see out your back window.

I assume you don't live in a snow region? The mag chloride splashes on it and I think I have to clean it almost every time after it snows until the streets dry.

That would be a nice convenience if it doesn't cost too much. I don't mind giving my rear camera a swipe with my microfiber before leaving but it would be better if I didn't have to.

I don't agree with those who think it's an absolute must as I can see enough even through a fouled camera to know what's going on behind me. Sure, I can't make out the model of vehicle in the rain, but I don't need to. If it's reasonably priced, and works well enough, I might get one because I'm on crap roads in crap weather over half the year.

Probably dependent where you live. In Vegas after the rain and wind you can barely make out what’s on camera. Even during AP or FSD you’ll get a notification of cameras blocked. Obviously this can be remedied by cleaning the camera yourself. But in a car that relies so heavily on cameras, this should have been designed with a washer (even the fender cameras) from the beginning.

Anyone want to know what blocks a rear camera most commonly?

Water.

It was raining today and yep, a big drop was evidently hanging on it as I backed into the garage.

There are some hydrophobic solutions on the market (and probably a CT specific one in the works).
