So many questions unanswered in your video...
How do you get the power cord out of the sub trunk compartment?
Can the lid to the compartment still close with the power cord in place and plugged in?
Can you leave the compartment closed while the fridge is operating?
How do you address the heat generated from the fan while the lid is closed?
Is the compressor designed to handle vibrations and shaking that it will experience being in the vault subfloor?
Can the app connect from the cabin with the compartment and vault closed?

I wonder how the air flow is in there and if you'll burn it up without sufficient flow. May be a good idea to pop open the drain (when compartment lid is closed).

There are incredible questions.
Closing the lid would be important in a Cybertent camping setup with gear in the bed, and plenty of other scenarios. This leads to your other questions about the cord, and proper operation from heat with the lid closed. Your question about vibrations is important to know if it should be removed for travel.

Their installation video has some interesting stuff.
-There are some adhesive plates that look like they could be to allow for airflow
-The plate nearest the outlet doubles as a cord restraint
-There is a rubber fitting in for the drain. Is this a Condensation or cooler drain, or something for airflow?

Now this makes more sense than the cabin. Drainage no issues. Price just too high for me.

Agree about the price but not about the cabin.
I think the price will correct because they not likely to sell that many at this point in my opinion.
My fridge is in the cabin and I like it that way for multiple reasons. The obvious being that I can pull out or my passenger can pull out a drink or formula or even ice cream for my kids while driving, the other though is that I noticed a MAJOR difference in efficiency and running time on dc moving it from a non climate controlled to climate controlled environment.
I am spending energy on cabin overheat protection and air conditioning anyway.
In my case the space is a non-issue because I have a rear facing car seat right where I put the fridge.

All the same questions I have. I installed a 59 quart fridge/freezer in the bed of the truck three days ago and found out that the idea and unit are great but there are many obstacles I have not been able to overcome to make it a no worry installation.
The bed electrical outlet does not stay on when the wall charger is plugged in. The outlet itself must be reset every 12 hours since it turns electric supply off to the outlet every 12 hours.
Unit stays at set temperature no issues even when vault cover is closed in Florida heat and sun.
My temporary work around is to use an extension cord for fridge when charging which means I have to unplug fridge from outlet and onto extension cord when I need to charge. Not sure if I use a level 3 charger if it’s the same. Hoping to find a simpler workaround soon.
All cooling compressors dissipate quite a bit of heat and being in a small enclosed space would suffer efficiency issues. ( some car fridges have insulating jackets available) I see having the same issues I am currently experiencing with the outlet supplying continuous power with this unit.
If those items are addressed and unit can be used without the door open I believe this is a great idea! My smugglers bay is full now with tire repair and tow straps.

I’ve been doing this with fridges for a while in both the Cybertruck and our model x and the reality is, you can’t have a fridge without a power station no matter how electrically forward thinking your car is.
People who sell fridges don’t like to tell you that.

This is my first vehicle fridge installation and I guess I will have to get a power supply since I can’t find a workaround. I just don’t like the idea of adding more gizmos and weight to solve what should have been an easy installation.

There are fridges that overcome this by incorporating battery packs. Typically, not the most cost effective route though and the batteries are fairly small which is fine if you’re willing to hot swap but for real set it and forget it stuff, you want a more sizeable battery.
