DIY Sky Blue PPF from TWRAPS installed

• The PPF precut kit.
• A wrap toolkit (~$30 on Amazon)
• 2 spray bottles with soapy water and rubbing alcohol (bought 1 electric and 1 manual)
• Lots of microfiber cloths

• I didnt have a very clean area to work in, so I had dust and pet hair under the PPF that I had to remove.
• Better lighting to see bubbles easier. I made the mistake of doing it at night after work.
• I got too aggressive with the rubbing alcohol and it got under the wrap in some places, creating bubbles as it evaporated. It was easy to resolve, but it added more work. Next time I might use pure water, or more diluted alcohol to rinse the edges.

The alcohol is meant to wash off the soapy water from the edges. Once the alcohol dries you can wrap the edges around. The issue I ran into is it was cold outside and I got a little bit of alcohol underneath the wrap on the panel in one spot. Well once alcohol starts to evaporate it turns into a gas and that created small bubbles under the PPF. To fix it I had to peel back the edge rinse with clean water and reapply once it was dry. Easy fix, but easier to avoid it, this only happened in one spot.

I did remove the mirrors but it wasn't necessary. I did not remove the wheel fenders.

I removed the gasket/seal on the passenger side front window and that was a huge mistake. Not only was it unnecessary I damaged the seal and now it is bent. I will need to buy a replacement. The kit is already cut so you don't need to remove any trim.

Just my 5 cents on 2 topics brought up:
1. I know in the video I use IPA to clean the edges. In retrospect that's not the safest approach, so I recommend using no more than 30% IPA and 70% water or just go for 100% water and wait a little longer. Works just the same.
2. Mirrors generally don't need to be removed. The above CT has been the only one I see where there was misfit around the mirrors, but we have over 20 installs so far and on no other were mirrors removed.

1. Yeah I was using 99% IPA. Again, it was only a problem in 1 small spot. Due to use error.
2. There was no misfit around the mirrors. I removed my mirrors unnecessarily, I don't recommend it for anybody else.
