DIY it and save yourself some money. The CT is an easy DIY job with the right cut template that just fits perfectly without any trimming required, like the one we developed:

You can totally do it on a year or older vehicle. With the CT there isn't much prep that you need to do - just wash it really well. Car washes are also perfectly fine, as long as you first fold the edges and let them cure (in colder weather curing takes longer, so I'd give it a week just in...

This is definitely glossy. Look at how it reflects on the hood (first photo).
As for the swatch books rentals - the way we do it is this: you pay to get them, then if you return them within 30 days we refund you. We can make exceptions for longer hold if previously agreed. The refund will be...

Not sure to be honest...I'd need to test over months and different weather to be able to put my name on it. I think it's an OK experiment with unknown results...not much to loose, meaning - the plastic won't get damaged even if the experiment fails.
I don't think wrapping the plastic pieces will have the longevity most people would hope for. PPF doesn't generally like porous plastics. I am yet to do actual experiments though. In the case of this CT the plastic trims were painted and the wheels powder coated.

Argh, I guess that may sway some people into buying a Tesla, but I for one think Tesla did a better job at this than Apple did. Sticking to the native UI.
My 5 cents after more than 1 year of CT ownership...
1. PPF on the CT is 95% cosmetic
2. Some non-cosmetic benefits though, in no particular order:
Easier to keep clean
The stainless steel is not immune to micro-scratches, the PPF will protect it from that
Less static discharges (if you get...
Plenty actually... in the off-road world that's kind of standard. Rivian, Hummer, Jeep Rubicon...probably others too, I just haven't checked.
Still a cool feature, I will surely get it when ordering my 2026 Cyberbeast.

We actually have headlights/tail lights tints which is essentially tinted PPF...the window tint is for interior application only (nano ceramic, thin)...the tinted PPF is for exterior application, 8mil and thick...so that would be more suitable material.
If you still have the original protective...
I would love to do that but I don't have them, and I need them to design the cut template... I may just buy it myself next year as I am tempted on getting a 2026 Cyberbeast, but let's see.
