I think the counter argument that was trying to be made, is; at what point does freedom exist when persistent surveillance is prevalent and accepted as the norm in society? The root of freedom is "free of dominion", so essentially if you don't have dominion over yourself but someone else does, you also have no personal free-dom. Dominion is established through regulation, what you are allowed to or not allowed to do. Note here that "allow" means someone with that authority has given you permission to do so, which means by definition has dominion over what you do.your telling me that planning, organizing, assembling and carry out something like this is an American right and liberty? To have a plan that will kill innocent Americans who have done nothing to deserve this is American. that we should not try and prevent this kind of thing because doing so is un-American! explain to me how stopping someone who fits all three criteria is unamerican. you guys quote me and leave out one of these 3 things and that is not what i said. I'm not anti-guns just anti-terrorism and i never said that you get prosecuted or thrown in jail for just triggering a lock down but questioned yes and then a more accurate accusation can be made after.
Classic example is "private" property, if it's "yours" you can live on it, dig it, cultivate it, sleep on it, improve it etc, nowadays though, only if you comply with xyz. If it would be "your country" though, you don't have to ask anyone for permission, you are the authority.
As for crimes, that's up to each jurisdiction to decide, provided said jurisdiction is in compliance with the will of the people it has jurisdiction over, which "should" be decided by your peers. This doesn't guarantee it's morally correct, just socially acceptable by the majority... if they believe the narrative, and subsequently your peers might or might not be offended by what you do.
On the other hand, morals and ethics in the natural world, are not subject to popular opinion or votes. Many unrighteous deeds have been "justified" and many righteous deeds "unjustified". The world is run on a accumulation of dead man's ideas, of which many are yet still to be proven in the test of time. More often than not though, less is more.
