This might be the first time they are monetarily compensating drivers for beta testing their products.

Color me surprised.

Well, I was a beta tester way back on version 10 and have used FSD ever since. I live where there may be one other Tesla in our county which only has 2 traffic lights. Probably driven 100,000 miles on FSD and yes, a few sharp intakes of air. But Version 13 is a new day. Yesterday I drove over 100 miles from the western side of Richmond, through the city to the eastern side of Richmond, VA and both drives were perfect. Backroads, interstate and city streets. Perfect.
I think it still needs some work at the beginning and end of each drive. It sometimes drives right into a parking space but for me, that is the only thing missing.
I do agree that it is still beta but 10% is just dipping a toe in the water.
Tesla insurance was way way way too expensive in VA. for my CT and MY it was over $500 per month. With Progressive, we are $200 per month. No tickets, no accidents.
IF FSD lowers accidents makes the car so much safer, make the insurance half what others charge and a penalty if you have an accident when FSD is not used.
BUT ... we will get there.

This is the same joke every insurer who uses monitoring employs, just jack up rates 30+% and pretend a 10% discount matters. There is nothing in Tesla's jerking around your monthly rate that you can actually see, that they can transparently justify and you can hold them accountable for.

Tesla Insurance would cost me more than double what I'm currently paying, and that's with a 90+% driving score. No thanks, Tesla.

You can always shop your coverage, I'm just looking for options for my future shopping

And I'm saying watch out for bogus "10% discounts" tied to monitoring. Tesla changes its rate to you arbitrarily every month, so you have nothing concrete to shop against.

This is serious? FSD makes one or two very serious flaws every time I use it, requiring driver intervention to avoid collision. And they are going to offer a discount for this? I am interested in their accident statistics after a year.
Tesla is always collecting accident statistics for people using FSD. It's something like 4-6 times safer than drivers not using FSD (and getting safer all the time).

That's how they know they can offer the discount.

I finally decided to try Tesla Insurance. My current carrier is USAA and their rates have continued to climb, so I figured with the discount, now was the time. However, after putting in identical coverage details as USAA, Tesla Insurance showed up more than 33% higher than USAA. That’s before taking into account driving behavior, FSD utilization, etc. It was a disappointing discovery for sure. I canceled the rest of the order.

I live in TX.

I use FSD 90%. In part because every time I drive it docks me even when careful, but FSD does the same maneuver and it's considered perfect. Also love FSD.

Tesla statistics are impressive. Based on the performance of FSD on my model 3, the performance of FSD is remarkable.

However, I have doubts about the safety of FSD on the Cybertruck specifically. My original comment reflects this concern, as it is likely that the insurance companies have come to the same conclusion that all Tesla FSD performance is equal. My opinion is that this assumption simply is not true.

Is there a way of looking up what my FSD use is?
