If the person dies, you will likely be charged with manslaughter or similar. Not even bringing morality into it, just liability implications.
Aaaand killing the joke.

The dork note is just funny. That one is pretty innocent I think. It would make me laugh. Especially if I saw the person that left it looks like they are headed to a Dungeons and Dragons party!

I got a this person eats ass note on the ground back in March or April. That one also was just stupid and confusing. Writing Nazi scum on somebody's car deserves an ass beating.

Cybertruck Derangement Syndrome... I am now getting the bird finger or shouting rants every time I'm out on the road. It is harder to remain non emotional and not want to at least gesture back some "hand signal". I don't understand how these people have become this way. Many are older men, driving mommy vans or worse. Perhaps jealousy? Perhaps too much TikTok? I don't know. I'm sure many have a hatred for Elon now, associating him with Doge and or Trump. I understand they don't agree maybe with all that, but to show the rage and hate is almost inhuman.

I generally go about my business and do not give them the pleasure of knowing I saw them and or reacting to childish behavior. But it is getting old quick. I fear if I do end up getting severely vandalized, I will have the repair done and then part with the vehicle. I have an MS and don't see any push back. At least so far. Perhaps the truck by being visually distinct it makes it easy for those with the CTDS to simply lose is. Rant over...

"Is that real?"

"Is that a kit car?"

My favorite one said nothing. Just a kid, early teens, mouth WIDE open staring at the CT. After I pass he seems to realize that he's just standing there gaping, starts sprinting and fumbling in his pockets. Drops his phone, runs back for it. By then I can't see him and I'm giggling to myself. Hope he didn't sprain anything
Last April we’re parked outside a movie theater and the only ready spot available was next to a car show with various cool and vintage autos right there in the parking lot. We’re waiting for the previews to start and I decided to check sentry mode and view around the truck.
A group of 5 or 6 young boys were going around the truck in awe. They were deep in conversation, two of them pretty intently. It looked like they were in ā€œdouble-dog dare youā€ mode and then one of them runs up and touches the truck. I jump on the boombox and in my best James Earl Jones voice say, ā€œEntering self-defense mode!ā€

Hahaha, the little boys scattered 15-20 feet away and then looked back to see what the truck was going to do! It was so awesome!
The Cybertruck is a magnet to boys in particular and whenever given the opportunity I let them crawl around in it and on it. I tell them it has a secret ā€˜autobot’ button and that it will transform. I think they half believe me much of the time!

If you're into it, do it. It's your truck.
I guy who wrapped my truck, Brent Smith/SWB Wraps, did 5 more after mine and posted them on FB. He got some Liberal hate because of Elon, I guess, and had comments about wrapping a dumpster! I told him to work it and offer to wrap your dumpster, if you want:
SWB Wraps, Making dumpsters great again!

Generally youngsters, boy or girls, know what it is, but may have not seen one in person. They tend to be very interested, if not in awe for them. I'm very happy when that happens. Unfortunately, as of late, it is very far and few between. It's seems to be the old(er) dudes or guys with (I guess muscle/manly trucks, if that's a thing?), that show the hate. Some women, of apparently younger age, scream and make faces that actually kinda scare me. Their shrieks and twisted faces project some real personal issues; some nearly wrecking their car. "Triggering", I think is the term these days they refer to.

I gave a ride to a 95 year old and his 66 year old son today. The 95 year old told the son they need to buy a CT and share it. 95 year old wants it Tues, Wed, and Friday and the son could have the rest of the days. It was fun LOL.

It's an easy target since it is so noticeable. A general idiot doesn't know anything about most EVs but they can recognize the Cybertruck. There's also a jealousy factor involved. They know it is expensive.

Also you are in an area where many people may not have seen it yet. In Florida it was crazy for the first few months with nuts everywhere but now nothing.

Today marks the two week mark since I took delivery of my truck. I haven't made a trip yet where I haven't gotten a thumbs down, the bird, or had somebody on the side of the road scream obscenities as I passed. On the way to pick up some dinner, had some kid in his mid teens scream profanity at the passenger side window with my wife sitting right there.

In addition to rude gestures and vulgar language, I've noticed that every dude with a muscle car, motorcycle, or lifted truck needs to pass me with the throttle wide open. Maybe if I got like, 6 pairs of truck nutz and hung them from the bumper they'd accept me into their club? I mean, that's like a dozen nutz, dude.

This is the way. Takes a strong person to ignore such petty behavior when occurs so much. Hang in there, keep enjoying the Cybertruck for yourself. Peace.

Sux dude.

There are people here that think that this too shall pass. Those ppl are wrong. This truck will always be associated with this moment, that gesture, this man and the other one. This hatred is PERMANENTLY part of its story.

Hans, Lars, Wes, the truck and us owners don’t deserve it. Yet, here we are. It’s a shame.

I will never GAF about the haters or take an ounce of guff from any of the fools on either side. But, that does not change the fact that these pervasive attitudes are going to stick with the truck well after this moment in time passes.

It is still my experience that I have far more positive reactions than negative ones but that’s not how reputation/notoriety/perception work.

A famous person can still have a shit reputation even if every person that says that they have personally interacted with them had a positive experience.

The truck is notorious, probably just gonna have to lean into that. It could’ve and should’ve been different. But it is what it is.
