Early on in this weirdness about the CT, like Oct/Nov 2024, I proposed that all the existing CT drivers out there, when they saw another CT, was to Flip the Bird between CT's as a greetings. That way the meaning could be changed and the messaging pivoted of the gesture to positive.

I think this Tesla may have followed my idea!:p?
Duuuude ???. Are we really doing that?? Because that’s hilarious

This sticker was on my truck tonight. I watched the Sentry cam and the guy who put it on can be seen plain as day. He was parked right next to me and his license plate is also clearly visible on the camera. The guy is also a regular where I was parked... I am the non-confrontatiinal peaceful type, since there was no damage I will let it slide. It is disgusting how much hate is in the world though... or at least in NY.

The sticker came off and left no damage, so I can't imagine there's much of a police report to file here. I agree it is in poor taste to put that sticker anywhere, but I don't think anyone would do anything about it.

I think the US Secret Service might like to have a little chat with the individual posting these stickers. It is worth checking out.

That is a absolutely a sticker and video that should be shared with law enforcement. That is a direct threat, not just a "I hate XXXX's politics and actions" sticker. Please do share what you have with appropriate authorities.

That is a scary sticker.

I guess the other issue is I threw out the sticker. All there is now is a video of a guy slapping my truck, when he put the sticker on. I took this picture of the sticker and then got rid of it immediately. There was one guy I know who saw the sticker, and an unknown passerby that commented how awful it was, who I'd never be able to find.

If it happens again, maybe I will go further with the report. But because I wanted the sticker off my truck immediately, I assume I also destroyed the most important piece of evidence. My guess is this guy ordered a bunch of these and is sticking them on Teslas all over town. Or maybe just CTs, but I can't imagine he had just one sticker.

EDIT: I also like how the guy who did it was driving a VW Golf. If you want to jump through hoops and associate a vehicle with an ideology, that's probably the most hypocritical vehicle to do it in.

I've been getting middle fingers and booing at least a few times a week where I live in (very) south Florida. I've been trying to come up with an effective response so I turned to Grok. First I did unhinged mode (hilarious but I don't want to get banned on here so I won't post what unhinged mode said) then I asked regular Grok and it suggested a "courtesy response feature."

I think it would be a great feature addition to have a custom message play over the megaphone when parked or at very low speed; anyone have a visible enough X account to get Tesla and Elon's attention?

Tesla Feature Request: "Courtesy Response" Pre-Recorded Message System
I’d like to propose a new feature for all Tesla models, including the Cybertruck, to address the occasional negative attention they receive—like booing or middle fingers from passersby. The idea is a "Courtesy Response" system that allows drivers to play a pre-recorded message through the vehicle’s external pedestrian speaker (already present for low-speed warning sounds). This could be a fun, optional way to diffuse tension or just lean into the Tesla experience with humor.
How it could work:
  • Activation: Drivers could trigger the message via a quick tap on the touchscreen (e.g., a dedicated button in the Controls menu) or a voice command like “Play courtesy response.”
  • Message Options:Tesla could offer a few default pre-recorded messages, such as:
    • “Thanks for the love! Enjoy your day!”
    • “I’d wave back, but I’m busy driving the future.”
    • “Haters gonna hate—stay safe out there!”
    • Or a simple, cheeky “Beep beep, peace out!”
  • Customization: Allow owners to record their own short message (e.g., 5-10 seconds) via the Tesla app or in-car interface, subject to basic moderation (no profanity or aggressive tones).
  • Safety: The feature would only work when the vehicle is stopped (in Park) or moving slowly (under 5 mph), ensuring it’s not a distraction while driving.
  • Cybertruck Bonus: For the Cybertruck specifically, lean into its bold persona with an optional Elon-approved quip like, “Stainless steel says hi—catch me on Mars!”
Why it’s useful: Tesla owners, especially Cybertruck drivers, report frequent unsolicited reactions—some positive, some negative. This feature would give drivers a lighthearted way to respond without engaging directly, turning a potentially annoying encounter into a moment of amusement. It fits Tesla’s playful brand (think fart sounds and Santa Mode) while leveraging existing hardware. Plus, it’d be a hit on social media—imagine the TikToks!
Implementation Notes:
  • Use the pedestrian warning speaker already equipped on newer Teslas.
  • Tie it to the driver profile so each owner can set their preferred response.
  • Add a cooldown (e.g., 30 seconds) to prevent spamming.
What do you think, Tesla team? A little sass from the car could make those middle fingers feel a lot less personal!

[/ I’ve only owned it for three months: I’ve been approached or a gesture at 15 times
13 were positive. Extremely positive.
But I am anticipating it because unlike you (probably to my own detriment?) i live for confrontation so it would be exciting???
