It’s a business flop. Won’t sell anywhere near how much they had planned. The headlines are crafted to make it seem like it flopped because it’s a bad car. It’s too expensive and polarizing for a lot of people so there aren’t many buyers. But I think the vast majority of owners are happy with their trucks.
Correct. A business flop doesn’t matter to the end customer as long as they enjoy it the product they purchased

I have read all the negative hit pieces from legacy media and the clickbait on YouTube. They have a vested interest in taking down Tesla, and in conjunction, the Trump agenda.
I don’t believe ANY of them.
I’m ordering a new CyberBeast this week; I’ve been like a little kid every time I get behind the wheel!
I’ve been a gearhead my entire life and I haven’t been this giddy since I got my ‘57 Chevy back in the 60s!!

If this helps you any...

1) I got my Cyberbeast about a year ago now and I've been back to the dealership 0 times.
2) I got 0% interest on my financing (down payment was a bitch though ;)).
3) There isn't another driving machine (at least that I've ever driven) that compares to the driving experience of my Cyberbeast. Not even in the same ballpark. It truly is amazing (<--- Truth).
4) Like others have said on here, don't listen to the BS on YouTube. Most of the naysayers on there have never even sat in one. There may be legit issues but I haven't had any yet (that I haven't figured out myself or an update didn't fix).
5) When unsupervised FSD comes to fruition, you'll have the most valuable, personal vehicle in human history.
6) I payed the extra for the Tri-motor and for me it was ABSOLUTELY worth every penny. It's SOOOO much fun!!!
7) What people are saying about the negativity you'll receive on a daily basis is true (at least for the time being).
8) It's great in the winter (but be prepared for a range hit).
9) You don't have to constantly wash and maintain the stainless. I've had mine for about a year and I've only sprayed it off at the car wash twice. I've never washed it any other time. It's just fine.
10) You'll get excited every time there is a software update push like you've just received a present.

As an 2024 FS CB owner with no truck promotion / rebate other than $3500 in Tesla credit (which I already used up). I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I love driving it and find myself turning around to admire it after I park.

In simple terms...it's bad ass!

The cybertruck is useful for identifying interesting people.

If they have strong, yet unfounded, opinions about it, then perhaps they have strong, unfounded opinions about other things as well.

If they are genuinely curious about it, perhaps they are often genuinely curious.

If they have lots of interesting things to say about it that indicate they are well informed. Perhaps they are well informed on other topics as well.

The thing that is nice about the cybertruck is that people tend to not keep these opinions to themselves, so you know where you stand with them pretty fast.

Yes, ignore the FUD. Only bad news sells and pure hyperbole is even sexier right now against Elon. Hands down the best car I've bough. Zero issues to date. Regarding the comments about the interior I personally know it is a truck and my ego doesn't need to be massaged every time I climb inside. There are plenty of high maintenance Range Rovers and AMG's out there awaiting fragile egos to bolster.

Someone here will correct me I'm sure but as far as REAL physical recalls I only know of the wiper motor replacements on very early builds and now the trim pieces. My trim is totally intact at 6 months, 10,000 miles and several car wash trips.

I think that this is one of the best (and funny!) CT reviews. Done by Jason Camissa of Hagerty. Thereafter Matt Farah tried to do his best to smear Jason's review but did have the guts thereafter to do a point counterpoint with Jason (his friend) which was a public beating for Farah. Enjoy:

I am seeing many Youtube posts making the case for the Cybertruck being a total failure and even surpassing the Edsel as the worst new car failure ever.
I have a Foundation CT on order, awaiting recall repairs for the cantrail issue so I haven't received my CT yet.
I am growing concerned that maybe this purchase is a mistake. The FUD is working.
Also, I am thinking if I hold out a little longer, until the 1st quater earnings call, maybe there will be some serious additional incentives on the CT if Tesla really does need to start moving these trucks due to super low sales and all the issues with panels falling off, etc.
I would sure appreciate the community's feedback on this.
I’ve had my AWD CT since November and I can comfortably say it’s be best vehicle I’ve ever driven. Tons of space, tons of storage, super comfortable ride, and I’ve had zero issues. I couldn’t recommend a better vehicle.

#1 selling electric truck of 2024 = total flop. Uh, okay. so, how are the Silverado and F-150 EVs looking then by that metric?
Plenty of analysts regard the entire EV pickup sector as a flop. That would include the Cybertruck, the F-150 Lightning, the Chevy Silverado EV, the GMC Sierra EV, the GMC Humvee EV pickup, and the Rivian R1T.

None of them are hits. In 2024, all of those EV pickups put together were easily outsold by the Ford Maverick.

Rivian had the first EV pickup with the R1T. And the R1T will probably be their last EV pickup, because all of Rivian's announced future models are SUVs. Electric SUVs sell; electric pickups don't.

After 18,000+ miles, I’d buy something else and wait until you’re finished with that vehicle and then reconsider the newest CT at that time. The current CT has many growing pains to work through before it’s great. In my honest opinion.
A 3rd/5th generation CT should be the badass pickup truck we wanted.

@OP - Please engage in critical thinking when watching these YT Videos and try to understand why what their agenda may be. The quicker you can realize this, the quicker you can start to enjoy your CT (CT>X>Y>3), i've had em all, well almost.

A lot of people, some here in the early days weee claiming it would outsell the F-150 line, not the Lightning, the entire F-150 line…. In that sense, yes, it’s a Big Flop…

But as far as an EV Truck. It’s the best selling 2 years in a row and pretty much destroying the competition. Elon built the ultimate truck, do not listen to You Tubers.

I agree it will get better overtime, but with generations taking 5 or more years generally… that’s like saying just wait between 15 and 25 years. Unless you meant wait a few years

I’ve had my awd foundation for a year and have been completely happy with it. The majority of the “recalls” have been OTA updates, so have not been recalls at all.
Accelerator fix was 10 minutes and I expect my cantrail appointment to be pretty quick on Thursday.

The steer by wire is simply amazing, the FSD is nothing short of exceptional and the home power back up is fantastic. There, I’ve used my superlative allowance for the day.

Ignore the internet trolls, you’ll love the truck.

There is a well funded FUD campaign against the Cybertruck that has been in full swing; started years ago right after the unveil.

Why?

Because the truck is an existential threat to the future of ICE vehicles. Steer-by-wire and the leap to 48v marks a paradigm shift in mass market vehicles going forward. I set my expectations super low so that I wouldn't be disappointed before taking delivery of mine.

I have blown away every single day of ownership. Don't listen to any haters; this truck is revolutionary.

I know it.
We know it.
The haters know it.
