are you referring to a software update that changed the user experience with steering?
He is, but my “wut” is short for what the fuck are you talking about? You’re selling your truck because of a simple software change that can/will be modified further in the future?

It still has four wheel steering. The change is so subtle (IMO) that I haven’t even really noticed it and if that literally is the only reason you bought the truck and a basis for you to sell it then my reaction, and I guess rhetorical question is still … “wut?”

For early owners like myself you didn’t have a chance to test drive this truck so unless you had one of the very few prior implementations you’ve never experienced four-wheel-steering in any form, and if you had it would not be comparable to the implementation in CT.

So, this cannot have been a reason for purchasing for many of us because how it behaved would’ve not been known/knowable at the time of purchase.

What I’m saying is I don’t just think that the statement is weird, I think it’s specious.

The Amazon contract alone is going to keep Rivian going for years even if somehow their consumer products fail.
OK, I can't pretend to know how it will all work out. Lord knows some companies will lose money for years, or a decade or more, before they become profitable...or go bankrupt and out of business too.

All I know if that losing $100K per vehicle sold is a terrible business model. Especially when your leading competitor, Tesla, dominates the market not only in EVs, but supercharging network, energy storage and distribution, AGI, FSD, everything.

Tesla have already acknowledged having 200M in unsold CT inventory going into Q2.
Wait, what is this about? What does 200M mean? it obviously cannot mean 200 million, so what?

Do you have a link to this "acknowledgement?"

This isn't hard. Try using some of the tools that exist for finding things out rather than insisting others do it for you.

As a happy owner, recommend stop watching YouTube videos.
I’d say develop some intestinal fortitude, learn to be independent and stop hiding from information and looking for safe spaces from it.

It's a poor comparison.

Tesla typically doesn't build that sort of inventory, especially inventory that has been sitting for over 4 months.

Made a recommendation, I think with all the information from real owners on this forum, getting sidetracked by a video from a YouTuber with an agenda to get more views is not hiding from information. What safe space are you talking about?

Real truck guys, plumbers, carpenters will never put up with the flying buttress obstruction to side lift over, one among many design elements that will keep the CT on the sidelines in niche status.
This is a good point. I agree with you here.

But as a finance guy, it is pretty clear than being long Tesla at any time in their history, including when I was a shareholder starting in ‘08, is pure gambling, not actual investing. Investments are subject to analysis.
So, as a self-proclaimed finance guy, and being a Tesla share holder since 2008, how in the hell are you so focused on their cars as the basis of analyzing them as an investment?

Car sales are like 20% (or less) of their business model. Wait until megapacks get super sales. Wait until every other EV manufacturer licenses their supercharging network. Wait until robotaxis go mainstream. Wait until Optimus robots go mainstream. Their Semis...etc. Focusing on one niche product (Cybertrucks) to analize an investment is the definition of tunnel vision. Not to mention, their flagship model Y has been the best selling car in America for I can't even remember how many months now... The only reason sales dropped recently was because all their plants were not producing cars due to retooling for the new Model Y...lack of supply...not demand...

This isn't hard.
What also isn't hard is to put a $ sign in front of numbers that are supposed to represent currency.

Also not hard, is to realize 2,400 units is not a large number, like at all.

Before I bought my CB I watched hours of YouTube videos to do background research. Most of it was not useful. After I bought my CB I joined this forum and I end up bookmarking almost every other post. There’s so much more useful knowledge here than YT.
