I just wanted to reach out to cybertruck owners who might be having the same issue that I had. I had gallons of water Ingress into the floorboard of my truck... it was sloshing around every time I would accelerate, turn, stop... It created mass amounts of moisture to build up on the windshield. Anyways. After 3 service appointments, and no success repairing the issue, tesla offered to "buy back" my CT (foundation series) i have since repurchesed my vehicle (non fs) .

I have all my records of correspondence and would live to help anyone who needs it.

Hope everyone loves their truck as much as me!

Trevor
How long did you own the truck?
Did you have a lot of water coming in the vault via the top slat area?

The vault was the least of my concerns. There was some water ingress there, but they were able to mitigate that with a "retrofit". Thats what They called it...but that wasn't the issue. The leak was coming somewhere in the cabin somehow.

I will say that my non foundation series was much better built than my foundation series. I can tell just sounds way more solid and the air compressor pump is half as loud... And my tanneau leaks very little.
I had the first one for almost 6 months.

Thanks amigo! My wife HATES it but after what's going on in the USA, she looked at me with such a sad but angry look saying "get it because to hell with them." I LOVE MY BRIDE!

That actually happened to me many, many years ago with a Nissan Pickup truck... Somehow it kept getting water in between the outer and inner 'layers' of the side panels of the bed... I only noticed because almost every time I stopped water would leak out on the drivers side just behind the tire...

Had NO IDEA what it was for about a MONTH... Then I happened to be loading some stuff up in the back and someone saw water starting to come out and we found the 'drain hole' it was coming from... Would happen whenever we 'bounced' the truck... Turns out, they hadn't put the hole in the proper place (they said)... They fixed it though by drilling THREE new holes just to be sure... Never had that problem again... But sold it about a year later anyway...

I'm happy and sad, ugh. I'm glad they took your truck back. I'm sad because I think I have the same issue. We had a lot of rain for a few days and the truck sat in the driveway. I proceeded to drive it over the next few days and thought I was crazy because water was sloshing around when turning, breaking, etc. It appears to have stopped
now but I'm a little concerned. I have the foundation-beast. I'll make a service appointment and hope it's an easy fix. Thanks for posting. I really thought I was crazy! I love the truck, and the stock will be fine!

Sorry to hear that. Insist on water testing. Do you have moisture accumulation? Like window dew?

I had a similar problem with my 2022 Model S Plaid. It was the drainage routing from the AC. They never were able to fully remedy it so after 2 yrs and with the costly assistance of an attorney they purchased it back @ $1.00 a mile. In return I bought a Foundation CT Beast.

Imagine the look on my face when I saw this post a few minutes ago!

Hard to believe they could not find the source of the leak. It is a machine, comprised of parts, and it is not a mystical magic carpet. If you look hard enough, the leak will be found. But I am glad you got a new truck. But I don't think I would buy the CT without FSD.

I noticed when I park outside, the inside on the front camera unit has moisture inside it. (Visible water dew/drops) Is that a problem and not normal?

Send me a photo. That camera shoulnt fog up. If Anything the cam on the windshield should remain the least foggy (it has a heat element inside it, to melt ice) that should eliminate moisture accumulation. Fog means a moisture leak may exist. Send a photo or 3

I wish Admin would be more diligent with these stories. Dealerships don't buy back vehicles. They either repair the problem, or on a very rare occasion they will give a new vehicle. This is clearly an attempt to make the CT look like a lemon, when it is not. Just my opinion as a guy that has owned dozens and dozens of vehicles, many of them new. C'mon Admin. See this for the BS it is please. This forum is not here for made up stories.

You are spamming this board with bad information. No one gives a new vehicle. Google Lemon Law, they buy them back and you are free to do what you want next.

All manufacturers honor this, because it's the law.
