I did a few long highway trips, and I’m stunned to see that basically zero bug get smashed on the windshield. It’s all happening on the frunk, so there’s no disturbance to visibility (and the front cam mounted in the windshield which stays clean and that’s obviously good for FSD). My beloved Jeep had the opposite problem. Had to do a full windshield cleanup at every gas stop.

The unique aero profile brings some unique properties.

I hadn’t really noticed that, however you’re absolutely right! Underrated indeed! I have certainly noticed the graveyard on the front of the frunk needing lots of wipe downs.
Has anyone gotten really lazy and left bugs on there for an extended period of time? How’d the stainless hold up?

Let's call it "bug resistant" not "bug free". We can't go claiming that Cybertruck windshields are bug-proof or WhistlinDiesel and JerryRig will drive through swamps during mosquito spawning season and shoot giant potato-sized bugs at it to show how dangerously not bug-proof it is.

I can’t remember the last time my windshield got hit by a bug.

Having recently taken a 1600 plus mile trip without wiping the windshield- it is bug free indeed.

Completely agree.... Now that you mentioned, I recall the same - clean windshield, with messy frunk.

I had a Jeep and the windshield looked like the frunk of the CT. Bug graveyard

I had a jeep wrangler as well, and the windshield had to be cleaned up thoroughly at every gas stop during a roadtrip. The absolute opposite of the Cybertruck.

No I clean them off every time I pull into my garage. So far only a few times had to use a dryer sheet. I just wipe off the corpse and then spray away and set for 15 seconds

I have the same experience. My Model 3 I had to clean the windshield every trip. Now with the wiper spraying better I haven’t had to try and reach the window in weeks. My Easter bunny face has stayed on longer than usual to catch all the frunk bugs. I’m sure it will need a thorough cleaning when that comes off.

went a couple weeks - heavy bugs southern MO around the lakes - it almost looks like the bugs are tarnishing the stainless after a week or two but when washed - looks brand new!
