Awesome stuff! What is the McMaster part number for the rubber edging? Thanks, Oden’s Beast!
The McMaster-Carr part number for the neoprene rubber trim I used is 8507K41 (Neoprene Rubber Edge Trim, 1/32" Wide x 7/16" High Inside | McMaster-Carr), I used the black 25' roll.

To be honest, I probably could have even just rubber banded the LED panel to the actual CT truck visors back side. It wouldn't have looked really clean, but it likely would have had near the same effect for temporary use. The LED panel is actually very flexible which I wasn't expecting.

I also just tried to upload the .DXF cut file, but the forum system would not recognize the file type. Anybody who wants it, just DM me, and I'll send it to you. It's the exact same file for both sides; you just flip one over (to make it a mirror of the other). I also painted my panels satin black.

Good luck!

With a four-foot-tall front windshield, it was inevitable somebody had to fill in that extra space with something silly. I had been seeing these the last couple of years being posted on other vehicles and always got a chuckle. I saw a link and decided why not. I can confirm the split version fits on either side of the rearview mirror/camera divider of the CT (the DOUBLE (2x23.6 in. / 60cm LED unit).

I made some new .03' aluminum sunshades and painted them satin black (so they are now stuck to the shades, and not my windshield), covered the metal edge with some McMaster rubber edging, and now they can literally be just popped right in/out (but actually still work great when left in as a sunshade too). They were just slightly long due to the electronic end portions, so I gently angled these portions downward through the shade cutouts, and it just fits perfect.

I bought them at: LED Windshield Evil Eyes For Car And Truck – Throttle Tiger . These guys shipped pretty quick too.

I found out after I had got them, that they can also be programmed with all kinds of stuff from their app (custom graphics, words, pre-made themes, even with parts of actual photo's). I liked it so much I bought their biggest one and will be using it as a display that I can change up for different holiday decorations on the house :))...first world problems). Just something silly to share for the upcoming ? and holiday season.

I DM’d you, but the forum program would still not let me send a .dxf. I left my email, just email me, and I’ll reply with .dxf.

I also just ordered it based on this thread. I hope the led’s are better and closer together than the ones on Amazon. The ads on Amazon appear to have not many actual lights and kind of crude.

At a recent Maryland light show I saw these. The ones at the top of the window were some kind of stick on screen.
The ones at the bottom were sitting on the dash and in daylight actually looked like the pattern.

I figured out a way to automate them. i got a Bluetooth proximity sensor and programmed it to my phone. so when i'm near/in my truck they are off. Then on when i walk away.

Do you plug the power supply into the sensor? After reading everything here I bought it and have been experimenting with ways to keep it simple. So far I have not installed it yet but bought the medium size power supply and it works great using one percent battery every 15 minutes. I way to control on and off without having to be in the truck is a great idea!

I just researched the Bluetooth proximity sensor and could not identify anything I thought would work. This sounds like a great idea. Please provide a link.
