My Cybertruck + FSD drove from New Mexico to Tesla Diner Grand Opening. Let’s see your best Tesla Diner pics

My Cybertruck drove me 1,700 miles round-trip (FSD the whole way) from Albuquerque to Hollywood to check out the Tesla Diner’s grand opening. The truck and FSD performed exceptionally well—no issues at all. The Diner is impressive with its big screens, neon lights, stainless steel exoskeleton, line around the building, and locally sourced menu. The cheeseburger and fries were delicious! My Cybertruck looked awesome and was a hit—other Tesla owners lining up to take pictures with it. Thanks @T Sportline for the gorgeous custom two-tone wrap, TCT Aeromaxx wheels, and brake calipers. (Notice the aero covers are removed from the front to expose the calipers).

I'd love your honest opinion of the design. If you like it, you can ask for the John Special. If you don't like it, well... that says more about your taste than my truck.

When I first heard about the Tesla Diner, I thought it was kind of a silly distraction from Telsa's core businesses. Then I saw an Optimus robot serving popcorn and now I'm not so sure.

Elon is projecting Optimus sales of 50,000 to 100,000 in 2026. Who's going to buy them? Seems like Elon needs to find:

- a large industry
- where there is lots of competition and pressure to keep costs down
- but also high labor expenses because many human workers are used
- to perform repetitive and predictable tasks.

Sounds like the fast-food industry. And the big players in fast food are definitely open to getting rid of human employees -- you've probably placed a McDonald's order by punching buttons at a kiosk, rather than by talking to a human being. If McDonald's is prepared to lose the humans at the front counter, they're probably open to getting rid of them in the back as well.

So maybe the Tesla Diner is going to be a testing ground for potential Optimus applications in food service. If a robotaxi with Tesla's AI can drive safely through Austin traffic, maybe an Optimus robot with Tesla's AI can prepare and assemble a cheeseburger.

I think Tesla should offer badges/stickers for certain charging stations and destinations. I’d find a place for them. Maybe inside the frunk?

Sure, thanks for asking. This was a snip of one of my TeslaFi accounts. I've been using TeslaFi since 2017 on our first Model S and every tesla from then right from the beginning. You should see our Model X routes. I'm not here to sell the service but TeslaFi is wonderful for owners that love data.
