I have been having an absolute blast and admiration for this vehicle. This has honestly been one of those moments where I could “run to the rooftops and shout” why the average truck owner doesn’t see the masterpiece before their eyes.

Steve Jobs once said, in response to an aggressive developer, why Apple doesn’t include all these “nerd-centric” developments to their products. Steve’s response:
“… you can’t make everyone happy. I’m sure he’s right about all the specifics of adding these features. However, a product has to be as simple as grabbing it, showing it, and asking: Do you want this?”
In this case it was the matrix printer. When customers could see the revolutionary way a product could change their life, that was the answer.

The Cybertruck is the same, however it’s not an easy vehicle to demonstrate, therefore it fell short - especially with its initial price. No one understands it, until they experience the bread crumbs which Hansel & Gretel have left behind. It’s the culmination of all the small things which produce an overall experience that builds the bigger picture.

For now, I will imagine others driving around in their Model Ts while I’m driving around in my W124 Mercedes-Benz 500E 6.0 AMG.

P.S. Feel free to post your own pics of the moment it all "clicked" or when it was "love at first sight".

Glad you’re loving yours. I’ve had mine about 10 months now and still can’t help but smile every time I walk into my garage.

SAAAMMME. I'm glad they didn't follow through with the door handles. The push-release is far more satisfying.

never a car or truck person-most people thought it was a prank but I love the design. Early reservation holder but the size is way too Big. Now, Tesla's best selling vehicle MY was Elon-gated with 7 inches-I hope Cybertruck will be reduced by 7 inches-then the amazing machine will be Superlative.

Personally I wouldn’t want either the cab or the bed any smaller so I don’t know where those 7 inches might come from. It’s a fine size for me. Fits in a garage easily and maneuvers into whatever small space I need. But I realize everyone’s different in what they’re comfortable driving.

Maybe they can get rid of the frunk altogether. jk. I love the fact that it's a ridiculously huge vehicle - it demands presence.

Maybe it’s because I’ve owned pickup trucks for nearly 20 years, but I don’t even think it’s “big” per se. When its ride height is on low, It’s smaller in every dimension than my last truck (2014 Tundra) and probably most Ford/Chevy/Rams out there. Not sure why so many people seemed concerned about it, it’s just truck sized.

If people wanted a glorified sedan with an open air trunk like the Maverick, yeah I guess the size was a disappointment. It’s smaller than the unveiling numbers, though, so they only had a 5 year heads up that this thing was an actual truck.

I watched all tear up videos, did 48 hrs demo & does not fit my garage. I don't need 6' bed etc etc. I hope Tesla engineers are already figuring out a smaller Cybertruck-the market will expend so big.

...Long term Ford owner here... I've had everything from F-150 - F450 Pickups (The 450 had the tightest turning radius of them all thanks to that monobeam frontend... But, I digress)

Been driving Ford trucks since 1995. My last truck was a Maverick and if some cosmic force took away Cybertrucks, the Ford Maverick will be my vehicle of choice. Just like the Cybertruck, people are quick to poo-poo it as "not a truck" but it was. We fight this battle with the CT as well.

- Maverick is a great size for everyday commuting and weekend projects
- Most comfortable truck I've driven (6'3" and I typically buy higher end)
- Super easy to get things in/out of the bed
- Second best ride in a truck. Fluffy wins that battle for sure.
- $450 tonneau cover was super easy to flip open and kept the bed dry
- Honestly, Ford 360 Copilot isn't even in the same universe as FSD... BUT, it was good enough to keep my Maverick in her lane and at the right speeds and would change lanes and such... on the highways anyway.
- The Maverick was just fun to drive... not sure why. It surely wasn't very quick.
- I know it's not typical, but I averaged just over 48 mph for the 10,000 that I had it before painfully letting her go for my Cybertruck.

There are still days I miss little Mav... I'm not sentimental and surely not for a vehicle. I've had 40+ at this point and Mav is the ONLY vehicle I felt bad about letting go.

I know this is a Cybertruck forum. I just want to keep perspective. We expect others to see the value in our choice, we should also see value in theirs.

Oh, just before I had the Maverick, I had an F-150 Extended cab with the 6' bed... almost identical in external measurements. Like, within an inch or two everywhere.

I Concur with previous comments, I bought this for me no one else. I love to drive it and I came from Jeeps and Full Size Trucks. I don't understand the "It so Big" comment when I park my Ram 1500 next to it they are practically identical in Width and Length. Its a Truck People, not a SUV. If fact the Bed of the CT is Larger than the ram, Bonus!. I can't wait to take it offroad, just have not had an opportunity yet. My only disappointments were the Price but 5 years I kind of understand and no dash gauges. Call me old fashion there but I loved the prototype with the gauge cluster. I adjusted though and still grimiss when I have to take the RAM for a drive. The Jeep is on its way out the door. (Wife says one has to go Lol). I have not towed our ATVs on the trailer yet with the CT, so the RAM Stays for now.

agreed. My Fords, Rams and Chevy's all weigh more than this. This is my only personal truck and only half ton and it dominates. I get confused as to why they are always putting it up against a ram 2500 cummins. Just weird. It is so much fun to drive.

To be fair, the media and the army of Tesla haters had a hand in the misinformation people have about the Cybertruck. Since the Cybertruck was first announced back in 2019, there has been a cacophony of false narratives and misinformation.

In early 2024, as the first Cybertrucks started to trickle out into real owner's hands, the narrative that the real world range was only 150-200 miles spread like wildfire (and many actually believed it). Now many of us know it's easy to get 300 miles if you drive at more reasonable speeds or are on secondary highways.

And then there was all the "unsafe at any speed" narratives. No crumple zone. Unusable bed, can't do real work, terrible in the snow, incapable off-road, etc. etc, etc. Actual owners know all of those narratives are false, but most people do not. They are like sheeple.

It's hard to fathom just how well the Cybertruck drives and how convenient and comfortable it is to use daily, or even on a long road trip, or how good the stereo sounds, or how damage resistant the shiny body is, when all you have heard is it's cheaply made and poorly designed (I mean, just look at it!), poorly engineered, unreliable and inefficient.

Let's just count ourselves as being in an elite club of people who have had their reality shattered by actual first-hand use of the truck in question, even more so if you have taken it on off-road trails that challenge other 4x4 trucks. I'm just blown away every time I drive it.

Cheers!
