That’s a really good idea Mark.the inside of that box is not visible at all.
Thanks Ace.
I borrowed your idea using that Anker power brick and a couple of dash mounted phone chargers that I like better than the Magbaks. I ran the cords to the outside through the rubber door trim and under the seats to the center location next to the driver's seat. It works very well so thanks for the idea.
If my CT wasn't a lease, I would definitely cut a hole and run the wires in the center to the power bank in the armrest.

Glad that worked out. That thing really is convenient and the usb-c ports are all legit 100w or more. Something the native ports don’t offer.
Do tell about the chargers. Love my magbaks. What’s better? I’m ready to learn.

Not sure it's "better" per se, it's more the form factor for me. I have the swivel bracket on my screen, so the driver magbak would appear to be at less advantageous angle and the passenger one would be totally unusable.
By putting the charger on the dash, I have more freedom as to where to place it. When I put the chargers in place, I folded a little extra cord behind the stand so that I had slack if I wanted to move the stand further over toward the center or middle of the dash.
I used 3 separate items. The first is a foronetry stand

The second is a powered magnetic head that has a color ring that can be changed.
https://a.co/d/6uxo3mK
I changed it to red to match the dash light strip on the car.
The third is a right angle usb adapter to just make it a little more clean instead of the plug sticking straight up or down.

I love that stand. It’s very well designed. I like how easy it is to slide back and forth.
I have my baby monitor (that I’m apparently notorious for now😁) on one and I use a coiled cable so I can put I wherever I like and move the air somewhere else.
The coiled cable helps to keep it from looking sloppy because it takes up its own slack.

The carabiner is a recent addition. If you clip both handles of a plastic shopping bag to it, you get a convenient self contained trash bag that’s out of the way and easy to toss on your way out of the car since it’s right next to you.

In your case, the dash looks like it might be a bit crowded if you put the phone there, but maybe you could have one toward the middle and one on the outer side. If both are wireless charging, you could put them on either side depending on your preference.
I like the carabiner idea, but I got the in door storage orginzer that I use for garbage.
It's on sale for less than I paid for them.

Pretty happy with my magbaks for now but I also have other reasons not to do screen tilt like the underscreen storage and those two trays I have behind it. I can see how they would lose value when you angle the screen though.
I looked at those door storage cubes with the rotating mechanism. They looked very convenient but smaller than what I have in there. I have these boxes which just have a door and big empty space inside.

What do you store in yours? Typically I have a bottle of sunscreen, mosquito repellent, hand sanitizer, lotion and nitrile gloves on the drivers side. Also extra breath mints or gum. Passenger side has child and adult ear plugs, a sippy cup, spoon, ballpoint pen, lighter, foil blanket and some of those hand warmers skiers like to use. I keep the real first aid stuff (quick, clot, tourniquet , trauma shears and BP cuff in the bottom of the center console.) the passenger door is kind of an overflow.
My wife likes to make fun of me as I’m sure everyone here will too, but she also likes being prepared for all sorts of eventualities just by being in the car with me so I guess it’s not THAT ridiculous.

Holy crap. You are way more organized than I am. Currently I am using them for small garbage items. I don't go camping, so much of the first aid stuff is much less needed for me.

Nothing could be further from the truth. I’m frustratingly scatterbrained. I’d lose my head if it wasn’t attached to my shoulders and I pay a scribe to follow me around and keep track of everything I do at work for that reason. I just have this irrational fear of being put in a situation where I want to help someone but don’t have what I need.
I’ve heard conflicting things about how the law looks at someone like me stopping at an accident scene. I’m not sure Good Samaritan Law really applies to me because I’m probably not going to stop short of using my professional skillset to help in which case I’m a physician at an accident not a layperson doing the best they reasonably can. If that’s true, I need to be prepared . Any time I do that I’m risking my family’s source of income.
I also have an irrational fear of being caught without diapers/wipes/sippy cup/change of clothe etc. Let’s just say I’ve done it before and it wasn’t pretty.
My Cybertruck contents are definitely eccentric, I’ll give you that, but there is an OCD reason why every single thing that’s in there is in there.
Expect the starlights and stuff…..that’s just for fun.

Yea I’ve seen it. I think the little fan need to be fixed. It’s making sound on cold morning. Maybe I’ll revisit afterwards. I do need to free the console outlet it’s using.

btw, not sure if that location is good for back signal due to the tonneau closed. I have mine higher on the left glass area so it can peek through the top cabin glass. Seems to alert ok. Need those directions 😂.

I carry pretty much all that stuff and more tools. Arizona highways are long stretches without exits and if you have bad luck enough to be caught in a traffic backup due to accidents on the I-17 between Flag and Phx, I-10 between Phx/Tuc Phx/LA, or the 87 between Phx and Payson, there are no exits, and small towns to just get off and go on your way, you are stuck, probably in dead of summer too.

I carry a portable toilet when outside the Metro with me for those just in case, stuck in car for hours travel nightmares, with a pop up enclosure. It's been needed more that once. Also weighs next to nothing and is sanitary with the wag bags.

Absolutely true. This is the time of year when I repeatedly have to remind myself why I live here.
Glad to hear I’m not the only one who is crazy like that. I’ll tell my wife that the next time she makes fun of me. 😁

i only close my tonneau if im on the highway, otherwise i roll around with it open, makes the truck look less like a doorstop from the back lol
