On my way to Scottsdale, AZ to see the Aptera in person for the first time since I preorder one back in January 2022. Then it's off to St. George, UT for the spook-tacular XLightShows Halloween Special Event. Follow by Zion Drive & Dine Experience. Yay! :geek:

I designed and installed this "pointy" charging kiosk before the Cybertruck reveal, so happy coincidence!

The pure copper ridge cap, and the steep roof pitch, prevents the growth of moss, algae and lichen on the cedar shingles. As rain, dew, or moisture comes into contact with the copper, it oxidizes and releases copper ions (specifically, Cu2+ ions). These ions are carried down the roof's surface by the water. The ions kill moss and algae, and prevent them from taking root and growing.

This creates a long-lasting, natural, and chemical-free solution for keeping moss and other wood destroying organisms from growing on the roof.

Here's a photo before the copper developed a patina.

Here's one in the snow.

And this is how I had to charge at my cabin before I installed the charging kiosk.

Yes, that's a Mobile Connector under the snow with zero water protection and plugged into a 120V extension cord. I don't recommend doing this but the Mobile Connector just kept on trucking. The only problem was the charging was slower than molasses, especially when the temperature dropped below freezing. A 120V circuit doesn't supply enough current for the battery thermal management system to prevent damage and have enough left over to provide a meaningful charge. It's also very inefficient on your power bill when you don't have robust 240V charging.

I remember you originally posting that kiosk build. That's awesome! It's aging nicely. (y)
