Hi folks,
Just a quick heads up on v14.1, we obviously know it's out but don't know when it will be officially out for the Cybertruck (or potentially other AMD RYZEN Teslas).
One quick thought to note is this:
V14.1 is currently on "2025.32.8.5"
A new (non-FSD v14) is starting to release to RYZEN Teslas on "2025.38"
I'm not quite sure what this nomenclature quite means, however I remember there was a time when people upgraded their software to, in this example use case, 2025.38 but then had to wait a much longer period of time for the FSD numbering to catch up to the software build.
What I'm basically trying to say is this:
- If you're waiting on v14, don't update your vehicle to any other version number until you're sure it's the v14 FSD software build.
- If you don't care much for v14 or haven't purchased FSD, then go ahead and update. Just know if you change your mind, you might have to wait until FSD is version "2025.38" or higher to install. This would obviously mean others will be able to get v14 immediately, whilst you wait for a different revision.
Again, I'm not 100% on this. However, I do remember this was an issue for quite some time for some FSD users wanting to update but couldn't because the FSD was running on an "older build" therefore they had to wait until the FSD version succeeded the non-FSD build number.
I did want to state this as a caution until we could get some form of confirmation; I'm awaiting a response on X and will keep you guys posted if I hear back.
