2026 model year 874xx AWD with core wheels. October ‘25 build. Software update 2026.2.9.1 added Active Road Noise Reduction immediately and was toggled on. Have not driven since update.

It is very strange that it is on some trucks and not others. I selected all of the audio choices to see if that was it, that is not it.

Interesting:
Once calibrated, can def feel it operating while driving and no music/podcast/app sound running
Feels like virtual pillows by each ear
A nice touch

the Cybertruck was the R&D test for all

Started calibration while driving, approx 15 min
Without any apps playing sound
Quiet
I can feel the ANC working
Like virtual pillows next to each ear

Received 2026.2.9.1 last night with no mention of active noise reduction in the release notes. Is that the case for everyone else that posted they did not receive ACN?

No mention in release notes, but appeared immediately after update.

First drive with Road Noise Reduction on, no highway driving, no audio on, no difference noticed toggled on and off in self drive. But after parking twice and 10 miles sounding normal, pulled into a large parking lot and heard a rumble type sound at slow speed, like knobby tires, looked at tire pressures, sounding like one was going down….. all normal 52 while driving warmed up, also sounded like a possible drivetrain growl or a wheel bearing on a front wheel drive vehicle low pitch hum when they first start. Not a good sound. Felt fine, felt no vibration, no problems found. Tested again across parking lot, noise gone, and normal driving home another 10 miles. Asphalt smooth, not a rough surface like using larger aggregate, but sounded like it.

Since this was the first abnormal sound the vehicle ever made, and the update includes audio sound changes, it sounded like the speakers either over compensating, or out of sync with the sound they were cancelling, like it amplified it. Could be while calibrating, I’ll be sure to duplicate the trip to listen for it where it happened after more driving. Only 1,456 miles on vehicle.

Installed this morning around 0900, drove 42 miles or so today starting around 1600. No ANC. Maybe when I head home Friday morning. Something to look forward to on that drive, I suppose.
