How to change order to NON FS Cyberbeast

As the title states (and I’m sure it’s been discussed), how can this be achieved?

I received the email to order but I don’t want a Foundation Series truck. I want a “regular” Cyberbeast.

My local Tesla store had this to say when I messaged them.

“Nothing is needed at this point! Once your position in the queue is up, you'll be invited to place the $1,000 order fee to continue forward to delivery. At this time, that would invite you into the Foundation Series Cybertruck, which you are not looking to get, so just hold off on that order until we announce when we are fulfilling non-Foundation Series orders!”

is this correct?

I feel there’s some confusion regarding this topic.

I appreciate all the advice.

Nothing to do
Most likely Tesla will offer FS to each person in line.
Either they buy paying 20K extra or they say pass.
Who says pass stands back in the line.

All you need to do is wait. No action necessary if you are going to pass the FS series.

Unfortunately I ordered then decided to wait, called Tesla and was told they would contact head office to move my deposit. Never heard another thing order is still for FS, FFS!

Well.. my plan DID NOT WORK.
I JUST ordered and paid the $250 deposit… called Tesla near me, and asked to switch to the non-FS. He reached out to Headquarters and they said I couldn’t. Crap. I was trying to just get the non-FS but also don’t know if I should just stick with the FS. What if I just not click the “START” button? Will they just assume that I don’t want it or will they still proceed with the manufacturing and delivery of the FS?

What can we say to you? You either want the FS or you don't, it's pretty simple! FS comes with a lot of extras, decide what from those you would buy anyway and if they matchup go FS, if not..then wait!
