Presumably, some of you eat food. Presumably some of you that eat, also go grocery shopping.

Please share a picture of how you organize your weekly grocery shopping in the frunk or bed.

I’ve never had a truck. Just want to see some ideas.

Thank you!

With the bed being not waterproof, seems like a terrible place to keep groceries, unless you're absolutely certain about the weather. The frunk is also just a bit too small for the standard sized reusable grocery bags. I need to lift the back seats and put groceries there when I go shopping, honestly don't love it.

How many times is it raining when you go grocery shopping ? You could put a few in the frunk and grab some of those bins and put a lid on in them to keep your stuff dry ? It really is no different then if you just owned a truck with no tano cover

Does anyone have the Tesla bins? Do they move around or rattle when you drive with them?

Ha-ha! I live in a very rainy place and the floor of my bed is bone dry, even after driving through a rainstorm.

The frunk fits our reuseable grocery bags just fine. It fits the grocery store bags too. It sounds like you have those over-sized grocery bags that are more likely to crush your food.

Average annual days with rain/snow in my city is 167, so unfortunately about 45% of the time. And it's a task usually reserved for bad weather days, so more like 75% of the time.

With old trucks I'd put groceries in the back seat too, so no difference. Only way to avoid this would be to (1) move or (2) get a EV truck with a larger frunk.

I need someone to come fix my bed apparently, I must have defective CT. I will ask when I bring it in for my winter tire swap.

I keep an electric cooler/freezer plugged in to the AC. I can toggle it on from the app while I head towards checkout. Love it.

It rains a lot when I'm grocery shopping. The bags in the bed never get wet, the bed is dry. That's true even if I have to drive the hour and half to my ski cabin in a rainforest, with the back of the bed loaded with groceries for two weeks.

With that much rain I’m going to say option 1. Move ? J/K.

I’m in Los Angeles and we haven’t had rain sense I bought it so I haven’t gotten a real chance to see if my bed gets wet . Washing it seems to not get wet in there but it’s only water for a few minutes. I’ve seen a few say there is a gasket fix for it if it does get wet inside though.

Sometimes we hit Costco, then Sam's, then wholefoods. It might be 100F in the summer heat. Sometimes random other stops get thrown in too like dinner. No worries with the electric cooler. We'll get to it when we get to it

Sometimes I walk to a grocery store on my lunch break at work, bring everything back to the truck and leave it in the sun for the rest of the day. Not an issue at all with the electric cooler.

Right now I'm on a road trip, cooler set to 0F and filled with burgers. Electric griddle in the vault, and a very small wood pellet grill, depending on what I want to plug in and fire up.

It's a game changer for me.

Speaking for myself, I use a cooler pretty much whenever I shop, even if only 5 minutes from home. Because I like my food as fresh as possible and hate it when food spoils in the fridge. I don't like my ice cream to melt/refreeze either. Sometimes I have an hour drive after I shop, when going to our ski cabin. I wouldn't think of doing that without two large coolers unless it was below 38 degrees outside and the sun wasn't shining.

Having a cooler big enough for your groceries frees you to be more spontaneous too. You don't have to go home immediately after you finish shopping if something else comes up.

My grocery stores are all 5 minutes from my house. If it takes an extra 2 minutes to load and unload a cooler, my food is 3 minutes away from peak freshness. That's fine for me.

Make sense. A few weeks ago I hit the market for a small load made a few stops on the way home and Tottaly forgot I a went to the market. They sat in there for like 3 hours ?. No ice cream though haha. If I had a cooler wouldn’t of been a problem
